You will be working with a skilled, experienced and open-minded therapist in relaxed casual sessions. You will learn "anxiety/depression hacks" that can help you get immediate relief while working on long-term change. With specialized training and over two decades of experience, I have seen many people significantly reduce their symptoms and enjoy life more. If this is your first time in therapy, I will guide you through the process at your own pace. If you have been in therapy before, we will discuss what was helpful in the past, what may not have worked and how we can move you forward. Bring your vulnerabilities as well as your strengths, both are welcome and necessary for change, no judgments here!
In our first session, we will get to know each other. You will describe why you are seeking therapy now, what your hopes are for therapy, and how I can help you reach your therapeutic goals.
I primarily use evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy combined with mindfulness. Together, they yield high success rates. I may also use other treatment modalities that are specific to your needs. I prefer positive and strength-based frameworks.
My area of expertise is anxiety/depression. I also work with related issues which are things that may have caused or be the result of your anxiety/depression such as trauma, life transitions, OCD, substance abuse, relationship issues, difficulties at work/school, self-esteem, gender identity/sexuality and social issues.
