Hello, I’m Jeanine. I’m here to support you on your journey toward healing and growth. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over six years of experience in child welfare, private practice, and school settings. I have worked with individuals ages 6 through adulthood, supporting clients with trauma, anxiety, PTSD, depression, self-esteem, anger management, parenting, and grief and loss. I have also led trainings on group work, stress management, and sex trafficking awareness. I am trained in SPARCS, DBT, EMDR, Rainbows, and SSETS, and I use these approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. I work best with young adults and older individuals who are looking to regain a sense of control in their lives. I help clients navigate difficult transitions, build confidence, and develop a stronger sense of safety and stability. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Dubuque and my master’s degree in Community Mental Health from Argosy University. My goal is to create a brave, supportive space where clients can heal emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you will be welcomed into a nonjudgemental space. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we start getting to know each other. I will support you by actively listening, offering guidance, and helping build resilience to manage challenges in your daily life. I will also challenge you when need to encourage growth, increase self-awareness, and help you move toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you. I also believe that growth continues beyond our time together, so I may provide homework to help you apply what we discuss in your daily life.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable finding your voice while building skills such as communication, resilience, and healthy coping strategies that support you beyond our sessions. We will work together to navigate difficult transitions, strengthen your sense of security, and build your confidence so you can move forward with greater clarity and control.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

An ideal client is someone who is open and willing to engage in the therapeutic process, even when it feels challenging. They are ready to do the work both inside and outside of sessions and are open to exploring new ways of thinking and responding. This includes being willing to reflect on patterns, practice new coping strategies, and actively work toward personal growth and change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you better understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we will explore how certain patterns may be impacting your daily life and overall well-being. I will support you in building practical coping strategies that you can use outside of our sessions to manage stress, anxiety, and other challenges. We will also work on increasing your self-awareness so you can recognize how your thoughts influence how you feel and respond. Part of our work will include identifying negative or unhelpful thinking patterns and learning how to challenge and replace them with more balanced, realistic thoughts. Over time, this can help you feel more in control, improve your mood, and respond to situations in a healthier way.
