In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is all about getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your history, concerns, and goals so we can collaboratively create your treatment plan.

I support high-functioning women who are navigating stress, burnout, and life transitions while trying to hold everything together. You may be used to showing up for others but feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or disconnected from yourself. In our work together, I provide a supportive, culturally responsive space where you can slow down, process your experiences, and develop practical tools to build balance, healthy boundaries, and emotional wellness. My approach is collaborative, warm, and grounded in real-life application.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is one if the main treatment methods I use through my training and independent work over the years. I have found it to be one of the most effective and practical form of treatment for my clients to manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I have utilized mindfulness in my practice for several years as a way to help clients manage stress, anxiety, and feelings of being overwhelmed.

I didn’t know what to expect but somehow the puzzle piece fell into place. Mrs. Carter was very welcoming. Her space felt safe and I immediately felt comfortable in her presence. I left feeling empowered with hope and with a plan that will benefit my well-being moving forward. As I rode home processing my session tears of relief fell from my eyes. I knew I had landed at a safe place to release, regroup and refocus.
