Greetings, I am a licensed professional clinical counselor with a supervisory endorsement (LPCC-S) and based in Northeast, OH. I received Master of Art in Education for Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019 from Malone University. I also hold a Master of Education in Intervention Services from Youngstown State University. As a therapist, I focus on meeting you where you are and helping you to live a life where you can be your most AUTHENTIC self without history or circumstance holding you back.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session we spend a lot of time getting to know each other. I explain the basics of therapy and then ask a lot of questions to get to know you and where you come from. We then work together to develop a plan to meet your goal and discuss what motivated you to come to therapy while answering any questions and let you get to know me a little bit to.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Just as I aim to help you become your authentic self, I strive to be authentic in sessions. When I first became a therapist I decided that I would never ask a client to do something to heal themselves that I wouldn't being willing to do myself. I pride myself on meeting the client where they are and helping them meet their goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I truly enjoy helping anyone who is motivated to live an authentic life and heal their past. Personality disorder, self-injury, suicidal thoughts, anxiety and trauma are some of the most common diagnoses I work with. Whether you are going through a life change such as a break-up, loss or entering a life of recovery, are trying to take control back of your life following a trauma or just want to discover how to be your best self without worry, I am here to walk beside you on that journey.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

While I am trained in several specialized modalities, I believe that tailoring the methods used to the individual person is the key to a successful therapy session. In being an eclectic therapist, I am able to meet you where you are and select interventions based on your needs rather than following a strict protocol.

EMDR

EMDR or eye movement desensitization and reprocessing is a specialized modality that is used to treatment trauma, anxiety and general negative thoughts about yourself. Through reprocessing core beliefs, it is possible to live a life where you thrive instead of just survive.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT might be my favorite specialized treatment method. I think of it as the instruction manual of life. It focuses on developing skills to get through and manage just about any struggle you may have. I have seen clients who struggle with relationships of all sorts significantly benefit from the do 'this' when 'that' format of DBT.
