What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, which is typically the initial psychiatric evaluation, we'll begin with brief introductions to get to know each other a bit. After that, we'll dive into discussing the specific challenges you're currently facing. This includes talking about any symptoms you're experiencing, your medical history, and any previous treatments you might have had. This could involve a range of conditions such as ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Schizophrenia, Substance use disorders, and other behavioral health issues. We'll also discuss potential treatment plans. This might include psychotherapy alone, medication alone, or a combination of both. Psychotherapy can provide a space to talk through your issues and develop coping strategies, while medication can help manage symptoms. Together, we'll explore the best options for your situation. The goal of this first session is to help me understand your unique needs and to create a tailored care plan. This personalized plan will guide our work in follow-up sessions, ensuring that you receive the support and treatment best suited to help you optimize your well-being. By the end of this initial meeting, you should have a clearer idea of the steps we'll take together towards your mental health goals.
