I am board certified in Psychiatry and Family practice.
First session
I believe it is important to get to know my clients during the first session. A strong understanding of your social history helps me provide more individualized and effective care, so I typically begin each initial appointment by discussing your background, life experiences, and current concerns. We will then review your symptoms and discuss how I can help support you in improving your mental health and overall well-being. Initial evaluations typically last about 45 minutes, although sessions may be shorter or longer depending on your history and individual needs.
Strengths
Listening to clients. Hearing clients concerns, questions, and their history.
Ideal clients
I provide psychiatric care for clients ages 5 through geriatric populations. My background in Family Practice began in 2012, where I treated patients across all age groups. In 2019, I specialized in Psychiatry and continue to work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I enjoy helping clients achieve their mental health goals through individualized, compassionate care. I also have extensive experience treating substance use disorders, including opiate, alcohol, and methamphetamine use. In addition to my private psychiatry practice, I managed a Suboxone clinic for 2.5 years, providing medication-assisted treatment and support for recovery. My experience includes treating a variety of childhood and adult mental health conditions, including ADHD, autism-related symptoms, depression, and anxiety. I maintain an office in Largo for clients who may need in-person visits on an as-needed basis. At this time, all new client initial evaluations are completed via telehealth, and new clients are not currently being seen in-office.
Treatment methods
Supportive
I like to get to know each client individually, by understanding the whole person. Once I understand the clients needs I am able to create a supportive plan of care to treat conditions/ symptoms.
