About me

I am a co-owner of Clear Sky Counseling Services, PLLC. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor based in Northern Illinois. As a proud member of the Latin Community, I bring over a decade of experience working with court and non-court-involved clients. This has led me to provide counseling services to a diverse clientele. Fluent in English and Spanish, I am committed to breaking down cultural stigmas and fostering understanding across various cultural backgrounds. I have worked with adolescents and adults, ages 13 and above. My approach to therapy is rooted in a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals from different nationalities, guided by the belief that effective counseling must be culturally responsive and inclusive. I specialize in helping clients navigate complex issues such as bullying, mental health struggles, addiction, and violence by employing a compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy. I utilize various therapeutic techniques as part of our road map. These techniques include reflective work such as journaling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment Theory, and the Strength-Based model.

She has helped me become intune with myself and my child. But most of all to be able to take my trauma lenses off and see things through a growth mindset. I couldn't have asked for a better person to talk to and learn from. She is understanding empowering open minded and balanced. But she is also genuine and kind and I honestly wouldn't ever dream of going to anyone else for therapy ever again.

I had an amazing session with Jordana. She was on-point, she was professional, organized, and she knew her stuff. She made the session feel calming like I could talk about anything, it was such a good conversation that we almost lost track of time. I will be back.
