I’m a licensed clinical social worker who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and patterns that leave them feeling stuck or overwhelmed. My style is warm, collaborative, down-to-earth, and practical, balancing effective coping strategies with deeper exploration of the emotional or relational patterns contributing to distress. Therapy with me is a space where honesty is welcomed, shame is reduced, and clients are not judged for being human. While the work can be serious, sessions do not have to be heavy every moment—humor and genuine human connection absolutely have a place in the process.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is an opportunity to start getting a clearer picture of what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’d like to be different. We’ll talk about current concerns, relevant background, patterns you’ve noticed, and what you’ve already tried to manage things on your own. If you’re nervous, unsure what to say, or worried about whether you’re “doing therapy right,” that’s completely normal. You do not need to arrive with a perfectly organized life story. The first session is about getting oriented, beginning to build connection, and figuring out what may be most helpful moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

A strong therapeutic relationship is one of the foundations of effective therapy, and creating a space where clients feel comfortable being honest, understood, and less burdened by shame is one of my greatest strengths. Clients often appreciate a style that is warm, genuine, practical, and very human, while still grounded in meaningful clinical work. My approach balances connection with effective coping strategies, thoughtful insight, and interventions tailored to the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or caught in patterns of overthinking, self-criticism, avoidance, or relationship stress. Some clients are navigating depression, life transitions, difficult past experiences, or recurring emotional patterns they no longer want to repeat. Whether you’re looking for practical strategies to better manage anxiety, stress, or mood—or wanting to better understand deeper patterns that may be keeping you stuck—therapy can provide space for both insight and meaningful change. The best fit is often someone who is open to honest reflection, learning new ways of coping, and making gradual but meaningful changes, even if things feel unclear or overwhelming right now.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients recognize and shift patterns of thinking and behavior that maintain anxiety, depression, stress, and self-criticism. Treatment is practical, goal-oriented, and tailored to help clients develop more effective coping strategies and lasting change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients relate differently to anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, self-criticism, and difficult emotions so these experiences have less control over daily life. The focus is on acceptance, perspective shifts, and taking action aligned with personal values.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based approaches can be useful for slowing reactivity to difficult thoughts, emotions, and stress responses, creating more space for intentional coping rather than automatic patterns.

Psychodynamic

I use psychodynamic therapy to help clients examine recurring emotional and relational patterns, including how earlier life experiences may continue to shape current functioning. This insight-oriented work can support deeper understanding and lasting change.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is used to help clients better understand what they are experiencing and why certain emotional, cognitive, or behavioral patterns develop. Increased understanding can foster self-compassion, normalize common responses, and support intentional change.
