As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience, I approach therapy from a curious lens, with the goal of seeking to understand what is most important to you as my client. I offer clinical skills from an inclusive and flexible perspective, while also challenging my clients to lean towards their capacity for change. My clinical interests include assessing, treating, and educating on the complex bio-psycho-social factors related to persons who have experienced trauma, interpersonal relationship challenges, and grief histories.
During our first session, we will begin with introductions, then I'll ask pertinent questions to better ascertain your presenting concerns and preferences for treatment. With a desire to improve challenges in relationships, subsequent sessions may focus on stabilizing meaningful connections with others. Additionally, the willingness to do the introspective work typically results in clients reporting positive and long-standing outcomes over the course of time.
Serving as a change agent in helping individuals identify faulty thinking patterns that often lead to a lifetime of shame, mistrust, and generational cycles of maladaptive behaviors are certainly strengths of mine. My goal is to encourage transition into a life of accountability and perspective taking, positive esteem and decision making, and certainly courage!
I greatly enjoy working with clients who have arrived at the preparation stage of change, though who may require additional support in navigating their newly found readiness.

Charmaine is amazing to talk to. She is warm and empowering, but also keeps it real. She makes me feel safe to say what is on my heart and mind.
