Hello! My name is Kim Rivera. The young adult years are full of shifting seasons, and navigating them alone can feel exhausting. Whether you are facing a difficult career transition, struggling with anxiety, or trying to repair a strained relationship, I will be glad to walk alongside your journey. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work, my goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered space tailored specifically for young adults processing life’s challenges. My therapeutic style is collaborative and practical, combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused techniques with psychoeducation to help you understand your mind and emotions. By anchoring clinical social work and Christian values, I hope to help you uncover actionable solutions while deepening your reliance on God's grace and guidance. On a Personal Note: I am a family-oriented individual who thrives in nature. When I am not working with clients, I love spending quality time with my family and recharging through outdoor adventures.
During our first session together, we will spend time discussing what brought you to seek therapy and discuss your goals.
During our sessions we will not only spend time exploring your challenges, discuss patterns and develop new strategies using evidence based modalities. We will explore your strengths and support systems with the end goal of providing you with a long-term quality of life. Incorporating a solution-focused and strength based approach has been successful for me in supporting clients. I look forward to meeting you and having the opportunity to be of support to you during this season of your life.
I am able to support young adults who are navigating challenging life transitions. Whether that looks like trying to figure out how to manage work-life balance, life stressors, low self- worth and or relationship challenges. If you are ready to work collaboratively by exploring your emotions and seeking individual growth. Incorporating a faith-base approach alongside therapy. If that is you, I am more than glad to join you in your journey.

Utilizing a Christian Counseling approach has provided Christian clients with a sense of peace to incorporate their spirituality in their goal towards healing and quality of life. We can utilize this approach by incorporating faith-based principles to help you find strength and healing.

CBT has helped my clients improve poor decision making and negative patterns of thinking. We can utilize this approach to assist with the end goal of empowering you to learn to identify, modify negative thinking patterns and choices to improve your overall well-being.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution Focused Brief treatment has helped my clients reach specific goals for themselves in a short period of time. We can utilize this approach by focusing on a specific goal you may have for yourself and work together on identifying steps and strategies to help you reach your goal.
Psychoeducation
I always include some form of psychoeducation in supporting clients. I love to learn and teach. By providing clients with information and resources to better understand their mental health concerns, treatment options, and coping strategies is key in their long-term success.
