New to Grow
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist/sex therapist in Pennsylvania with over 12 years of professional work experience. I have specialized experience in helping clients with coping with addictions, relational/sexual issues, intimacy, family conflicts, & LGBTQ+. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I take a nurturing and affirming approach to validate one’s experiences and perspective; and we will work together to shift that perspective where needed. I strive to take a collaborative approach in treatment identifying all aspects of one’s life e.g. family, religious background, relationships, career, and overall beliefs and values in order to challenge clients to look at all pillars in their lives to see where and if change needs to occur. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. We will discuss your goals and review your personal, relational, and family history to better understand your experiences and patterns that may be impacting your life or relationships. We will identify the areas of you would like to focus on and develop a collaborative plan tailored to your needs and goals.
My approach is warm, non judgmental, and grounded in emotionally focused therapy and attachment theory. I want clients to feel supported and safe to share honestly and openly. I will challenge when necessary and be direct where there are incongruences. I focus on understanding deeper emotions, needs, and relationship patterns. We will work together to identify the underlying emotional experiences that contribute to recurring conflicts and disconnections. I strive to create a collaborative and safe environment so that clients can experience meaningful growth.
My ideal clients are individuals and couples who are ready to invest in themselves and their relationships with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to grow. Ideal clients would be excited for change and have the willingness/awareness to self reflect. Ideal clients would be those who appreciate feedback and are collaborative in sessions. My ideal client would be respectful and be open to difficult conversations that inspire change and growth.

I identify as
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Emotionally focused therapy is the foundation of my work with individuals and couples. I focus on understanding deeper emotions beyond the surface-level behaviors and confict. EFT helps us understand deeper emotions, unmet attachment needs, and patterns that keep people feeling disconnected or misunderstood. I help clients slow down and explore the emotions that exist beneath reactions such as anger, withdrawal and defensiveness. We will identify recurring cycles that create distress. I strive to have clients be vulnerable in discovering misunderstood feelings and create a space where clients can be present with their feelings and one another.
Couples Counseling
In couples counseling, I will utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy interventions and techniques. We will utilize attachment based interventions to explore attachment experiences that influence communication, conflict, trust, and intimacy. I focus on communication skills and training to encourage active listening, engagement, emotional validation, and conflict resolution strategies. I will assist in emotional regulation and ways to reduce negativity and remaining emotionally present with one another. I have extensive experience in assisting couples who have experienced infidelity and have created trainings and coaching programs to take clients through a healing experience for them to have a successful and trusting relationship again.
