I’m Eve Coke, LMHC, MS, NCC, and I'm here to offer compassionate, personalized support tailored to meet your unique needs and goals. I specialize in addressing challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, family conflict, and professional burnout. My services use a holistic approach, integrating effective, research-based techniques, including solution-focused problem-solving and cognitive-behavioral strategies. As a therapist, my passion lies in supporting you through life’s complexities, from relationship conflicts to everyday challenges. My mission is to help you create a happier, more fulfilling life, one step at a time.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first therapy session, we will focus on building a comfortable and supportive foundation for our work together. We’ll talk about your life, experiences, relationships, and goals to get a clear picture of what’s going on. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable, and there’s no pressure to have all the answers right away. This information will guide our sessions and support you in working toward feeling more balanced and whole.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I'm honest, friendly, focused, and passionate about helping others achieve mental wellness.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I specialize in helping Black women, Afro-Latinas, Working- class Professionals, Couples (Black/Caribbean and Interracial), Business Owners, and Veterans. Whether you're looking for effective tools to manage stress, guidance to navigate life transitions, or simply a warm, supportive space to explore your mental health journey, I’m here to empower and support you every step of the way. Let’s walk this path together toward the life you envision.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients identify harmful thought patterns they have about themselves, others, and the world. Then create specialized tools to capture helpful thoughts that produce beneficial behaviors and emotions.

Couples Counseling

I use this method to help couples reshape, rebuild, and strengthen their marriage for a better quality of life together. However, if the couple would like, I help them create an amicable separation as they pursue a healthy divorce.

Christian Counseling

I use this treatment method to help those recovering from religious trauma, struggling with internal battles with serving God, and living within God will while facing mental health concerns.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I love using this modality to help clients build psychological flexibility and align their actions with their core values. I incorporate mindfulness techniques, metaphors, and experiential exercises to guide clients in managing difficult thoughts and emotions. This approach has been effective in addressing challenges like anxiety, depression, and life transitions.

Narrative

Narrative has helped my clients heal from deep trauma and address relational issues. This approach focuses on assisting clients to re-author their stories by separating themselves from problem-saturated narratives and identifying their strengths and values. It has been especially effective in empowering clients to build healthier relationships and reclaim a sense of agency in their lives.
