First session
For our first session, my general rule of thumb is to allow you to take the lead. In my 9 years experience doing direct clinical work, it can usually go one of two ways. The first is that you need some time to warm up and get to know me a little bit. I often joke that when therapy begins, your clinician knows so much about you, but you know so little about them! I try to keep things nice and light, focusing on common interests, hobbies, and other rapport building conversation. The second option is that we dive right in. You sought therapy out for a reason, and sometimes, you want to cut right to the chase and just START. I love for my clients to feel empowered on this journey, and it's empowering to decide what you want session one to look like.

Ideal clients
My ideal clients are young adult women navigating life transitions, whether that’s changes in relationships, career paths, identity, or independence. This stage of life can feel uncertain and overwhelming, but also full of opportunity. I support clients in building clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of self as they move through these shifts, helping them feel more grounded, empowered, and aligned with the life they want to create.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and work toward more balanced, realistic ways of thinking. You’ll build practical tools to manage stress, navigate relationships, and feel more confident as you move through natural life transitions.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help you explore what you truly want for yourself and what might be getting in the way. Together, we’ll sort through any uncertainty and strengthen your motivation to make meaningful, lasting changes at a pace that feels right for you.
Strength-Based
I take a strengths-based approach, which means we focus on what’s already working and the qualities that make you who you are. Together, we’ll build on your existing strengths to help you feel more confident, capable, and supported as you navigate challenges and life transitions.
Psychoeducation
I incorporate psychoeducation to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, emphasizing the power of learning as a catalyst for meaningful change. Gaining insight can be empowering. Together, we’ll use that understanding to help you feel more in control, build self-awareness, and make meaningful changes in your life.
