Greetings! My name is Cornelius Harris, but you can call me CJ, I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Theapist (LMFT) based in Connecticut. I received my Masters in 2021 and have been practicing ever since. My hope is to help young adults who are struggling, individually, as well as couples, with general everyday stress; difficulty with communicating and/or navigating complex emotions/thoughts, to become the best versions of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I recognize that your struggle is unique and has its own set of circumstances, and the need to be heard and feel validated that it a serious issue; with that being said I also recognize the need for us, as humans, to feel a sense normalization, that our situation isn't so far off the charts that there is no hope - over the years, I have found ways to offer my clients: perspective, balance and hope - so we can identify the issue, come up with a plan and then begin to ececute it

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My motivation for this work has everything to do with identifying ineffective, unproductive, and/or harmful patterns that individuals, couples, or families struggle with. My hope is to work collaboratively with young adults to create new, more effective and healthy patterns through healing.
