If you're feeling anxious, exhausted, stuck in your head, or like something’s just off — you’re not alone. Maybe you’ve been trying to hold it together for a long time, or maybe things just started unraveling. Either way, you deserve support that feels grounded, thoughtful, and truly personalized. I’m Julia, a psychiatric nurse practitioner with 15+ years of experience in healthcare and social work across the U.S. and Europe. I work with adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, OCD, depression, trauma, and those hard-to-name feelings that make daily life harder than it should be. I offer both medication management and supportive therapy, and I believe the best outcomes happen when care is collaborative, culturally informed, and deeply human. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed or burned out. Some have been misdiagnosed or brushed off in the past; others are simply tired of trying to do it all alone. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and supported — while finding real tools to help you move forward. You’ll always find honesty, compassion, and curiosity in my sessions — plus a sense of humor and a no-pressure atmosphere. Whether we’re adjusting meds, building new coping strategies, or talking through patterns that no longer serve you, our work will be steady and patient-centered. Please note: I offer emotional support animal (ESA) letters only after we’ve built a therapeutic relationship over at least three months and there’s clear adherence to a shared treatment plan, including both medication and non-medication strategies. ##Note: Due to a high no-show rate for new client intakes on weekends, I’ve limited weekend availability to established clients only. However, if weekends are the only time you can meet, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to make exceptions when possible.##
You can expect a structured but conversational assessment focused on understanding your current symptoms, relevant history, and treatment goals. I’ll ask about your mental health background, medical history, current functioning, and any previous experiences with medications or therapy. We’ll discuss whether you’re seeking medication management, therapy, or both, and I’ll explain evidence-based options that may fit your needs. I’ll also review any safety concerns, lifestyle factors, and integrative considerations such as sleep, stress, or supplement use if relevant. By the end of the session, we’ll outline initial treatment recommendations and discuss next steps. My aim is for you to leave with a clear sense of how we can move forward — collaboratively and with a plan that feels clinically sound and tailored to you.
I bring a strong balance of clinical precision and human connection. I’m skilled at recognizing nuanced patterns in mood, attention, and anxiety that may be overlooked in rushed or fragmented care. I take time to understand the whole picture — not just symptoms, but context. Clients often tell me they feel deeply seen and never judged. I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and collaborate on treatment plans that are both evidence-based and personalized. I also draw on integrative tools when appropriate — like nutrition, sleep, and nervous system regulation — to support long-term wellbeing, not just symptom relief. Consistency, honesty, and respect for each individual’s process are at the heart of how I work. One of my strengths is creating a space where people feel comfortable, heard, and valued. I genuinely care about the people I work with and approach every session with curiosity, respect, and openness. You don’t need to know what “kind” of help you need—I’ll guide the process and offer suggestions as we go. I’m both easy to talk to and direct when it matters. I’ll be honest with you about what treatment options might be helpful, whether that’s therapy, medication, or a combination of both. I want you to feel informed, empowered, and fully supported on both the emotional and medical side of your care. By the end of our first session, you’ll have a clearer sense of what’s going on, what your options are, and what the next steps could look like. You’ll never be alone in figuring it out.
I work best with people who tend to carry a lot — quietly, and often for too long. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, scattered, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. Some are navigating big transitions — like becoming a parent, facing health issues, or reevaluating their work and relationships. Others are finally ready to look at patterns that aren’t working anymore. You might be feeling anxious, burned out, easily overstimulated, or unsure whether what you're experiencing even “counts” as something worth treating. You don’t need a perfect explanation or a clear diagnosis to reach out — we can start with whatever you’re holding right now. I especially enjoy helping people untangle overlapping issues like anxiety and ADHD, trauma and perfectionism, or mood challenges that don’t fit neatly in a box. If you’ve ever felt rushed, dismissed, or told you were “fine” when you weren’t — I’d like to offer something better. My style is honest, curious, and collaborative. No lectures, no cookie-cutter plans. Just a space where we figure things out together, at your pace.

Supportive Therapy & Medication Management I specialize in medication management paired with supportive, insight-oriented therapy. Most of my clients come to me for psychiatric care — meaning we thoughtfully use medication as one tool, alongside meaningful conversations that explore the “why” beneath the symptoms. This integrated approach helps us create lasting, sustainable change While I do occasionally have room for therapy-only clients, those spots are very limited. The majority of my work focuses on medication-based care with therapeutic support, tailored to each person’s needs and pace.
I use motivational Interviewing to help clients work through mixed feelings about change in a supportive, judgment-free space. Together, we explore what’s getting in the way and build on their own values and strengths to increase motivation and move toward your goals.
I apply Trauma-Focused CBT to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences. This method allows clients to build resilience, manage trauma-related symptoms, and regain a sense of safety and control through structured and compassionate therapy.
I integrate mind-body techniques to support clients in addressing the connection between emotional health and physical well-being By incorporating strategies like relaxation, mindfulness, and stress-reduction skills, I help clients manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma more holistically.
I integrate principles of Compassion-Focused Therapy to create a supportive environment where patients can develop resilience and self-acceptance. As a first-generation immigrant and cancer survivor, I bring a deep understanding that compassion, kindness, and emotional courage are critical to healing. My clinical approach focuses on reducing self-criticism, strengthening emotional regulation, and empowering individuals to approach their challenges with both strength and self-kindness
