**Ruth Wellness Integrative Psychiatry** Are you looking for a provider who takes the time to understand the root cause of your symptoms rather than just treating them? Do you sometimes feel unheard or rushed in traditional healthcare settings? At Ruth Wellness Integrative Psychiatry, we take a collaborative and whole-person approach to mental health so you can feel supported, understood, and empowered in your care. My name is Lisa Mascioli, PMHNP, and I have ten years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan. I am currently accepting new clients in **Ohio and Illinois** for comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and integrative mental health care. At Ruth Wellness, treatment goes beyond prescriptions alone. I am trained to incorporate **complementary and evidence-based approaches** alongside psychiatric medications when appropriate. These may include lifestyle interventions such as **exercise, nutrition, targeted supplements, therapy collaboration, and genetic testing** to help identify what works best for your unique biology. I also provide **comprehensive ADHD evaluations and testing** for adolescents and adults who may be struggling with focus, attention, organization, or executive functioning. Identifying ADHD can be an important step toward finding the right treatment and improving daily functioning. During our sessions, I will meet you with compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based care. Together we will identify what may be contributing to your symptoms and create a personalized plan to help you regain balance and move forward with confidence. **Ruth Wellness Integrative Psychiatry is currently welcoming new patients in Ohio and Illinois.**In person for Ohio only!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first appointment at Ruth Wellness Integrative Psychiatry is designed to help us gain a clear understanding of your concerns, history, and goals for treatment. This initial session is typically longer than follow-up visits so we have the time needed to explore your symptoms and develop a thoughtful plan of care. During this visit, we will review your current concerns, mental health history, medical history, medications, and lifestyle factors that may be affecting your well-being. This may include discussion of sleep, stress, nutrition, exercise, substance use, and past treatments. If you are seeking evaluation for ADHD, we will begin a comprehensive assessment that may include screening tools and discussion of symptoms across different areas of life. This appointment is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and share what has or has not worked for you in the past. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where you feel heard and understood. By the end of the session, we will work together to develop an individualized treatment plan. This may include medication management, therapy referrals, lifestyle recommendations, supplements, further diagnostic testing (such as genetic testing), or ADHD testing when appropriate. Follow-up appointments will then be scheduled to monitor progress, adjust treatment if needed, and continue supporting your mental health goals.
The treatment methods and tools I utilize
Lisa uses several different tools and treatment methods in addition to psychiatric medications. Examples of such include, but are not limited to, exercise, nutrition, supplements, therapies, genetic testing, questionnaires and supportive psychotherapy.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to truly listen and take the time to understand the full picture of what someone is experiencing. Many clients come to me after feeling unheard or rushed in other healthcare settings, and my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable sharing your story and concerns. My approach is both **integrative and individualized**. I combine evidence-based psychiatric treatment with complementary approaches such as lifestyle interventions, nutrition, supplements, and collaboration with therapy when appropriate. Rather than focusing only on symptom management, I work with clients to identify and address underlying contributors to mental health concerns whenever possible. Another area that stands out in my practice is **comprehensive evaluation and thoughtful treatment planning**. Whether we are exploring depression, anxiety, mood disorders, or concerns related to ADHD, I take a careful and thorough approach to assessment so that treatment decisions are intentional and tailored to the individual. Clients often appreciate that our work together is **collaborative and practical**. My goal is not only to help reduce symptoms, but also to provide tools, education, and strategies that help clients feel more confident managing their mental health in everyday life. Ultimately, I aim to help clients regain balance, improve functioning, and feel empowered in their mental health journey.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
**Ideal Clients** I work best with individuals who are ready to better understand their mental health and are open to exploring both traditional and integrative approaches to treatment. Many of my clients come to me feeling frustrated after trying medications or treatments that did not fully address their concerns, and they are looking for a more personalized and thoughtful approach to care. I frequently work with adolescents and adults experiencing **anxiety, depression, mood instability, ADHD, difficulty with focus and organization, and life stressors** that are impacting their daily functioning. I also work with individuals who want a thorough evaluation to better understand their symptoms and develop a clear treatment plan. Clients who tend to benefit most from working with me are those who are **curious about the “why” behind their symptoms** and are open to looking at multiple factors that influence mental health, including lifestyle, sleep, nutrition, stress, and biological factors. Some clients are interested in combining medication management with complementary strategies such as lifestyle changes, supplements, therapy, or genetic testing to find what works best for them. If you are looking for a provider who will take the time to listen, look at the whole picture, and work collaboratively to develop a plan tailored to you, we may be a great fit.
