I'm Eileen. I like to say I work with Humans. I work with people from birth to death, with any life experience, with any and all traumas, with any and all diagnoses. Anything can happen to any of us, and we are in this journey, adventure of life, together. I'm here to listen, to learn, and to explore different ways of acting and reacting and understanding situations. I'm here as a support to help you meet your goals, and to improve your quality of life, together.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In a first session, I like to know about you, what a typical day and week looks like and feels like; I like to learn about your hobbies and interests; I like to learn about your family, friends, and supports. And what brings you to therapy at this time. And I like to tell you about myself: some of my hobbies and interests, and therapy modalities.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I enjoy working with people with a wide range of life experiences. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is my foundation as it's skills we use every day: Most frequently, there is not one right or wrong way of doing or being, and I am skillful at supporting people in identifying multiple different ways of interpreting situations so they feel confident planning ahead for challenging situations and having a choice on how they want to act/react in situations. I enjoy being in this journey and adventure of life together with my clients.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I can best be a support if we set a time to meet each week or every 2 weeks, for a 55 minute session. It works best if you come with a list of challenges or situations that you'd like to focus on each session.
Eclectic
I am trained in multiple modalities. I use techniques from multiple modalities in each session to match each individual's communication and learning and interpersonal styles.
