I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. I provide therapeutic support to individuals 18 years and older, addressing a wide range of life challenges, including divorce, domestic violence, and other significant life transitions. Additionally, I assist individuals experiencing symptoms such as sadness, racing thoughts, and sleep difficulties. I specialize in working with members of the transgender community, offering guidance and support as they navigate the process of affirming their gender identity. I firmly believe that therapy can benefit everyone at various points in their lives and should be accessible to all. Each client is treated with compassion, warmth, and respect, and I strive to meet them where they are in their journey.
In our first session, we will begin with introductions and a discussion of the limits of confidentiality. After that, we will explore what brings you to therapy and work together to establish your treatment goals.
With ten years of licensed clinical experience, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse economic, gender, and cultural backgrounds. I am committed to meeting you where you are, both mentally and emotionally, and approach our work together with compassion and understanding.
I am dedicated to supporting adults who are motivated to make meaningful changes, whether big or small, in their lives. Together, we will work to process your experiences, reduce symptoms, and achieve your personal goals.
I have been using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for 10 years to assist patients with reframing their thoughts and modify behaviors.
I have been trained on Solution Focused Brief Treatment and utilize it to help you reach your goals. When using this modality, we will focus on ways to achieve your goals with an emphasis on your strengths and resources.
I have spent the last 7 years working with transgender individuals, empowering them and exploring what it means for them to live authentically.
I utilize this treatment modality with patients who have a diagnosis of PTSD. I use this for patients who prefer a more manualized method of treatment and are willing to commit to the homework assignments. It is evidenced based and has been proven to decrease symptoms of trauma.
