Hello there, I’m Jonathan West, a licensed clinical social worker providing telehealth services for adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, identity development, and emotional regulation. I became a therapist because I’ve always believed in the power of hero's journey; the story, connection, and transformation—whether it’s through the pages of a favorite book, the arc of a game character, or real-life growth in the face of challenge. I’m passionate about walking alongside people as they make sense of their experiences and reclaim their agency.

I’ve been working as a therapist for over four years, primarily supporting children, teens, and young adults who have experienced trauma. I specialize in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and have extensive experience working with survivors of abuse, individuals, and families navigating difficult experiences. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Simmons School of Social Work, where I completed a concentration in trauma treatment. I’m nationally certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), certified in Problematic Sexual Behavior–Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT) for children ages 7–12, and trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). I especially enjoy working with teens and helping strengthen caregiver-child relationships. I would describe myself as a therapist who is laid-back, charismatic, warm, and engaging. I firmly believe it is an honor to be part of someone’s journey, and my work ethic reflects that belief in my practice. I want my clients to feel comfortable showing up as their authentic selves without feeling judged or like they have to “perform” in therapy. If you have ever seen Issa Rae in Insecure, then that is probably the closest representation of what I am like in session! I am conversational, relatable, and not afraid to laugh with my clients when the moment calls for it. At the same time, I know when to slow down, sit with the difficult stuff, and have the deeper conversations that may be uncomfortable but necessary. I believe therapy can be both meaningful and enjoyable, and that you do not have to spend every session crying to make meaningful progress. I am also genuinely curious about my clients and want to understand the person beyond their presenting concern. I care about their relationships, experiences, culture, values, and the experiences that have shaped how they see themselves and the world around them. I view therapy as a collaborative process rather than a space where I simply tell someone what to do. My goal is to create an environment where clients feel heard, understood, supported, and challenged when needed. Ultimately, I want my clients to leave sessions feeling like they could be completely themselves, while also walking away with something meaningful to think about, practice, or carry into their everyday lives.

Welcome! I am Robyn. These days many people are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and depressed. Sometimes they feel as if no matter what they do, it isn't enough and either they or those around them are never happy with themselves. How about you? Are you trying to manage to be the best parent, spouse, and employee that you can be? Are you struggling with a recent life transition or the loss of a loved one or relationship? Are you lying awake at night reviewing the list of things you think you should have accomplished? Or are you ruminating on what you said to someone, how you said it, and what you should have done differently? You are not alone! Many people experience these feelings and you do not have to continue to feel like this! You CAN FEEL BETTER! I work with adults of all ages who are struggling with these things by providing a safe space to talk about and work through these issues. I strive to empower them to discern their strengths, their priorities, and the barriers to feeling better. Once we’ve done that, I help them find ways to address those barriers and build new coping skills they can use to overcome the challenges of anxiety, depression, managing change, and people-pleasing. Change is not easy! I am impressed by your courage in taking the first step of asking for help to start your journey toward feeling better! You deserve to have someone skilled and trustworthy to guide you to grow and heal. I will compassionately work with you using evidence-based techniques to get beyond the challenges you are experiencing and on the road to feeling better! I work with women navigating life transitions, particularly those that bring changes in relationships, family roles, and their sense of identity. These experiences can bring anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the effects of trauma into focus, and can influence how thoughts, emotions, and the body interact. My 25 years as a yoga teacher and yoga therapist have shaped how I approach counseling, particularly my understanding of the connection between emotional and physical experiences. I incorporate mindfulness and somatic approaches to help clients recognize how stress, emotions, and past experiences influence not only their thoughts, but also how they feel and respond physically. Understanding our patterns is important, but learning to respond differently is where meaningful change begins.

Hey, I’m Mariah! I work with women who look like they have it together on the outside but internally feel exhausted, anxious, overwhelmed, and stuck in patterns they can’t seem to break. A lot of my clients are the ones everyone depends on. They’re successful, self-aware, high-achieving, and used to pushing through. But underneath that, they’re overthinking everything, emotionally drained, struggling in relationships, and wondering why they still feel so stuck despite years of trying to “work on themselves.” Many have done therapy before and left frustrated because they gained insight but nothing actually changed. My approach is honest, direct, and focused on getting to the root of what’s keeping you stuck — not just helping you manage symptoms. I help clients understand the deeper patterns behind their anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotional burnout, and relationship struggles so they can stop surviving life on autopilot. I’m not the therapist who just sits quietly and nods for 50 minutes. I’ll challenge you, connect the dots, and help you make real shifts in the way you relate to yourself and others. I also offer private pay therapy for clients looking for more personalized care without the limitations insurance can place on treatment. Clients are able to use HSA/FSA funds to pay for services and are able to receive partial reimbursement through out-of-network benefits.

I have several years of experience treating individuals, families, and adolescents using a holistic, empathic, and trauma-informed approach. Watching friends and family struggle with mental health and substance abuse issues fueled my passion for helping those who struggle with these difficulties from a place of understanding, patience, and empathy. I received a BA in psychology first, which led to obtaining a substance abuse certificate. I gained experience working with families and individuals and, after some time, I was ready to further my education and obtained a Master of Social Work. This helped me expand my clinical skills and learn more targeted therapy modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, psychoanalytical care, and art therapy. I found these approaches are a great synthesis of neuroscience, trauma, and creativity.

Hi there — I’m Madison Long, LCMHC, LPC, TRPCP, NCC , a licensed therapist based in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, and I’m passionate about helping people move from feeling stuck into genuinely living. My training includes trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT), child-centered play therapy (CCPT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), and I’m currently pursuing certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). Whether you’re navigating the unique emotional terrain of pregnancy or postpartum, healing from past trauma, or managing the ever-changing demands of parenting and family life, I’m here with you — through the ups, downs, and in-between. I offer virtual therapy so you can meet with me from wherever you are in NC, right when it works for you. I do this work because I believe growth happens when we feel safe enough to face what we’ve been avoiding, and strong enough to embrace the next step. Not only have I been where many of you are, I’ve also had the privilege to see clients emerge from seasons of pain, parenting chaos, trauma’s shadow, and come into more grounded, more resilient selves — and it is an honor to be part of that process. If you’re ready to start feeling grounded, nourished, and confident again — I’d be honored to walk beside you.

Hi, I'm Emily. Something brought you to this website in search of a therapist or counselor. Maybe it was a single event or problem, like a loss of a loved one or a sudden change in job status. Or maybe you've been struggling with a multitude of stressors and are feeling burned out, anxious, depressed, disconnected, and fatigued. What would your life be like if you no longer experienced these issues? How do you get to that point? These questions are the foundation of my therapeutic approach, which is goal-oriented, solution-focused, and personalized to you as an individual. Your goals are unique to you, so it takes a unique approach in order to help you reach them. Together, we will identify your goals, the barriers you face, and how to overcome them to get to where you want to be. Our past and current interpersonal relationships influence our own mental health status and are often the source of past trauma. I focus on building interpersonal skills such as conflict resolution, communication, and identification of healthy and unhealthy relationship dynamics to help heal trauma, and build a solid personal and professional support system to use long after our work together is completed. Since interpersonal relationships are so important to us as social creatures, the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is key to healing. Not every therapist works for every client. If, during our work together, you feel that this relationship is not a good fit for you, I am here to help you find someone who is. Please note that I am a LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist.

Maybe you’re the person everyone counts on, the one who handles things, keeps going, and appears to have it all together. But underneath that, you may be anxious, emotionally exhausted, constantly overthinking, or struggling in relationships. You may find yourself people-pleasing, feeling guilty for saying no, putting everyone else’s needs before your own, or wondering why the same patterns keep showing up even when you know you want something different. I work with adults who want to understand where these patterns come from and begin changing them. Often, our work explores how family dynamics, childhood experiences, and past relationships have shaped the way you view yourself, manage emotions, set boundaries, and connect with others. This isn’t about blaming the past. It’s about understanding what you learned to do to cope or feel connected and deciding what still serves you today. For some clients, these patterns become even more noticeable after becoming a parent. Parenthood can bring up unexpected emotions about your own childhood, your relationship with your parents, and what you want to carry forward or intentionally do differently with your own family. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C), and EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist. My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuine, with a focus on helping you understand yourself more deeply, heal from experiences you may still be carrying, and create healthier patterns in your relationship with yourself and others.

Hi, I’m Blair, a licensed therapist in North and South Carolina and an AASECT-certified sex therapist. I work with adults who are neurodivergent and navigating mood-related challenges such as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and burnout. Many of my clients are high-functioning but feel like they’re constantly playing catch-up internally. They may struggle with intense emotions, overthinking, difficulty following through, or feeling stuck in patterns that don’t seem to shift, especially during times of stress or transition. My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies including DBT, CBT, and EMDR. I focus on helping you understand how your brain and nervous system are operating while also giving you practical tools you can actually use in your daily life. I also integrate specialized training in sexual health and intimacy, supporting clients in navigating connection, communication, and desire in a way that feels safe and informed. The clients I work best with are ready for more than just insight. They want meaningful, lasting change. Together, we focus on improving emotional regulation, reducing reactivity, strengthening relationships, and creating a life that feels more manageable, steady, and aligned with who you are.

I help young adults and adults (ages 18–64) healing from childhood trauma and neglect who struggle with anxiety, emotional dysregulation, perfectionism, and low self-esteem develop the tools to regulate their emotions, build self-trust, and move forward without feeling controlled by their past. I believe there is hope after trauma. When someone begins therapy with me, I want them to know that they don't have to continue feeling stuck in the effects of what happened to them. Together, we can explore and understand the trauma, look at how it may be impacting their life today, and identify ways to help them start feeling better. I want therapy to be a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable expressing what they are feeling and what is bothering them without fear of judgment. I know that talking about trauma can be difficult, and clients don't have to navigate that process alone. My hope is that clients can learn to understand themselves and their responses, develop tools to regulate difficult emotions, feel better about themselves, and begin to see their lives from a new perspective.

Are you looking to improve your communication, strengthen your relationships, and manage conflict more effectively? Interpersonal skills are the foundation of healthy and thriving relationships—both personal and professional. If you are recovering from an emotionally abusive or narcissistic relationship and feel disconnected from yourself, therapy can also help you rebuild your identity, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and develop healthier relationship patterns. I am a relationship counselor, currently providing individual and group therapy for adults aged 18 and older. I specialize in helping clients improve their relationship with themselves through personal growth and the development of healthier interpersonal skills, including communication, conflict resolution, anger management, boundary-setting, emotional regulation, and problem-solving skills. Many individuals struggling in unhealthy, emotionally abusive, or narcissistic relationship dynamics often lose their sense of self, confidence, voice, and emotional balance within those relationships. A major focus of my work is helping clients reconnect with themselves, rebuild healthier patterns, and strengthen how they show up in relationships with others. How you relate to yourself impacts every relationship in your life. When you learn to communicate effectively, set healthy boundaries, manage emotions, and navigate challenges in healthier ways, your relationships often become stronger, more balanced, and more fulfilling. This growth can improve confidence, reduce stress, and support overall emotional wellness. I provide a supportive environment where clients can increase self-awareness, create meaningful change, and develop healthier connections with themselves and others. Schedule an appointment with me to begin your wellness journey.

I’m Cindy, a psychotherapist who believes that meaningful change begins with understanding ourselves. I work with individuals struggling with addiction and its impact on loved ones, depression, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and those navigating life’s transitions or searching for a greater sense of meaning and purpose. Sometimes we repeat patterns that no longer serve us, carrying negative beliefs about ourselves without fully understanding where they came from. Together, we can explore those patterns, uncover their origins, and begin to see ourselves and our lives differently. My approach is warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I believe that feeling safe enough to be honest about who we are, including the parts we’d rather hide, is essential to healing. You don’t have to have everything figured out or know where to begin. Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, recovering from painful experiences, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, discover new possibilities, and build a life you no longer feel the need to escape from.

My journey into therapy began with a desire to help the hurting individuals I worked with in a group home, and a genuine passion for helping others find strength through life’s most difficult moments. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people facing a wide range of challenges—experiences that have shown me just how powerful and transformative therapy can be. These moments have only deepened my commitment to walking alongside others on their path to healing. I’m continually inspired by the belief that every person holds the capacity for growth, resilience, and change. We can change and heal. Sometimes we just need a little help along the way. I treat adults age 18 and up.
