As a transpersonal therapist, I view therapy as a holistic healing container, in which I am a fellow traveler on the path to wholeness. My goal is to awaken the knowing that is already alive within you, guiding you to your truest self. I have been on a personal journey of self-discovery and awakening for over a decade through meditation, yoga, practicing massage therapy for 5+ years, deepening an understanding of healing through the body mind spirit connection. I arrived in the field of counseling as a culmination of my personal journey, from a desire to serve others on the path to healing and integration.

Deciding to seek support through counseling takes courage, and the process of finding the right therapist can be intimidating. Building a trusting relationship with a therapist can take time and I understand how difficult it can be to be vulnerable. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and Humanistic, focussed on building a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, safety, empathy, and compassion. I utilize evidence-based methods such as CBT, CFT, mindfulness-based interventions, breath work, somatic psychotherapy, and EMDR. Whether you are looking for a safe space to talk through current stressors, or dig deeper to process past trauma, I hope to provide a safe and nurturing space, collaborating with you on your journey of healing and personal growth.

Hello , I am a licensed social worker based in Ohio. And I also am licensed in California. I have been practicing for close to 40 years, so have a great deal of professional and life experience, that I can apply to my work with clients. I am motivated to help adults of any age, move forward with their lives. And also there to help clients develop healthy skills that they can utilize, to become their "best selves." My approach tends to be more SHORT TERM and Solution Focused. I also see myself as a life coach for many of my clients. I am a regular practitioner of yoga and meditation and enjoy bringing elements of these practices into my work as well. I also love animals and enjoy hiking and biking in nature. *I do not work with clients who have HIGH RISK CONCERNS, such as recent suicidality, recent psychiatric hospitalization, domestic violence or substance abuse issues. Since I feel clients managing these issues, are better served seeing providers in a traditional office setting with more wrap around services. Clients who book with me presenting with these high risk concerns will have to be referred out by me to other providers or more appropriate resources in their community.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals with complex and high acuity mental health needs. My work is grounded in trauma informed and trauma responsive care, with a strong commitment to creating inclusive, affirming spaces for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent clients, and individuals in rural communities. I work across the lifespan, including children (7+), adults, older adults, families, and couples. My approach is collaborative and empowering, centered on the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives and require my clinical expertise. I often describe my role as “working myself out of a job” to help clients build the insight, skills, and confidence needed to advocate for themselves and navigate systems independently. As a trauma specialist, I tailor evidence based interventions to each client’s identities, needs, strengths, and goals. My primary approaches include Somatic Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)-(EMDRIA certification pending), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. I also integrate Internal Family Systems informed interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, exposure based strategies, mindfulness, and other approaches as clinically appropriate. I adapt treatment for neurodivergent clients and clients with intellectual or developmental disabilities because therapy should adjust to the person and not require the person to adjust to therapy. I am continually shaped by the courage, insight, and lived experiences clients bring into our work. Every advanced training, specialty, certification, and state license reflect lessons learned from clients. I carry their trust, stories, and influence into every session with gratitude and responsibility. Hi, I'm Jen, a Licensed Independent Social Worker and much of my career has been spent supporting individuals and families through some of life's most difficult moments. My professional experience spans outpatient and inpatient therapy, inpatient psychiatry, psychiatric emergency services, emergency medicine, and child welfare. These experiences have shaped the clinician I am today. They have taught me that people are far more than the hardest thing that has ever happened to them; and that healing rarely follows a straight line. The Person Behind the Therapist: I am LatinX and the daughter of a first-generation immigrant. My culture, family, and experiences have shaped how I see the world and understand the importance of connection, community, and belonging. As a social worker, I also believe that mental health doesn't exist in a vacuum. Our relationships, culture, identity, communities, access to resources, and experiences with larger systems can all affect our well-being. I am passionate about racial, social, and economic justice, and I bring that social-work lens into my practice. I am also proud to be an LGBTQIA+ ally and am committed to creating an affirming environment where people can feel respected and safe being themselves. You don't have to leave parts of yourself at the door when you come to therapy. What I Want You to Know: You don't need the right words. You don't have to know exactly where to begin. My role isn't to tell you who you should be or what your life should look like. My role is to listen, help you make sense of what you're experiencing, and walk alongside you as you work toward where you want to go. You simply have to take the first step. From there, we can begin together.

Hi, I’m Kelly. I’ve been working in mental health for over ten years, and one thing I’ve learned is that you don’t need another person talking at you like a doctor, teacher, or expert who has your life all figured out. You need someone who can meet you where you are, understand what you’re going through, and help you figure out where you want to go from there. I work with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, and personality disorders, with a particular interest in Borderline Personality Disorder. I’m trained in TF-CBT, DBT, and Somatic Experiencing, and I’m IFS-informed. I draw from these approaches based on what actually makes sense for you rather than forcing everyone into the same treatment model. My style is warm, direct, conversational, and human. I take the clinical side of therapy seriously, but I don’t want therapy to feel clinical. I want you to feel like you’re talking to a real person who happens to know a lot about mental health. I’m unapologetically anti-racist and deeply committed to supporting Black and Brown communities. I have extensive experience working with these communities and believe that race, culture, identity, and lived experience belong in the therapy room. I also recognize that racism, white supremacy, homophobia, transphobia, economic inequality, and immigration policy can have very real effects on our mental health. I’m gay myself and genuinely enjoy working with LGBTQ+ clients. Whether you’re navigating identity, relationships, family, minority stress, or just want a therapist who gets some of the context you’re coming from, you’re welcome here. Most importantly, you don’t have to show up as a “better” version of yourself. Bring the messy parts. We’ll start there.

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Ohio. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Ohio from Cincinnati to Cleveland! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Ohio.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
