I believe healing happens in relationship. Together, we'll create a path toward what matters most to you, whether that's quieting the steady hum of anxiety or finding your way out from under the weight of chronic stress.
Many of us carry more than we let on: the aftermath of a life-threatening illness, wounds from early relationships, connections that left us wanting, or disappointments that knocked the wind out of us. Wherever your story begins, our work is about helping you feel steady on your feet and ready to make meaningful change.
I listen deeply to your lived experience and draw on a range of approaches to support you through life's complexities. You'll find in me a blend of candid insight, honest reflection, and genuine warmth, so even the hardest conversations feel productive, and never something you have to face alone.
As a therapist, I strive to create a non-judgmental space for my clients through warmth, engagement, and sometimes humor. It is my hope that my clients always feel supported by me, even when I challenge them to take accountability and change their patterns. I love to listen, learn, and form relationships with people from all walks of life. I have over 5 years of experience working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, perfectionism, disordered eating, and stress from work, school, relationships, and/or their families.
I am passionate with the desire to assist my clients in their journey of self discovery. I incorporate spirituality as a path to explore what makes their life meaningful. I respect the individuality of each person's qualities and personal choices. I am an active listener to what is said and use compassionate inquiry to what deeper meanings the client may desire to explore.

My practice assists Black clients across North America who are impacted by a range of concerns including trauma, anxiety, and depression through a racially-sensitive treatment approach. We also work with individual clients seeking to improve their self-concept by understanding and processing the impact of historical and generational racial trauma on their relationships with themselves, their families, their friends, and their partners. I am a therapist who strives to fully understand my clients and their needs to create an optimized approach to meet their goals. I specialize in working primarily with individual adult clients to help them deal with issues such as infidelity, communication, stress management, anger management, relationship building, sexuality, etc. At Yolo Therapy, our ultimate goal is the well-being of our clients. For various reasons, many clients are unable to access traditional therapy settings but I do not believe that should prevent them from receiving exceptional services. Are you feeling depressed and anxious? Are you finding your life is in turmoil because you have to make a change? Maybe you are changing careers or jobs, you’re recently divorced, your home is now an empty nest, or you are retiring. These are only a few of life’s transitions that can bring on depression and anxiety. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the therapy I use most often, states that A (Antecedent action or event) + B (our belief about that antecedent action or event) = Consequences, (depression or happiness). If you think of a transition or event (A) as a negative experience (B), you will experience the consequences of your belief, as depression and anxiety (C-negative) or as happiness and excitement (C-positive).
Unfortunately, many of us view a transition or change as a bad thing, a time when we are facing the unknown without a map. I would like to help you see change as an opportunity, a time for growth and exploration. Come with me. Together we can make change a positive force for a bright future.
please schedule appoints only on the hour.😀
I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth, healing, and positive change. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to work through life's challenges. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients explore the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while building on the strengths they already possess. For those open to it, I also offer faith-based support, honoring the role that Christian values and spirituality can play in healing.
I value a collaborative approach to counseling and believe that therapy should be tailored to each individual's unique needs and experiences. Whether you are facing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, or simply seeking personal growth, I am committed to helping you discover solutions, build resilience, and move forward with greater confidence and hope. My aim is to support you in creating lasting changes that align with your values and the life you envision for yourself.
Together, we identify practical strategies to overcome obstacles, develop healthier coping skills, and create realistic goals that lead to meaningful progress.

In life we all need support and understanding from others. Sometimes the best solution is to seek professional help. Having emotional support is extremely helpful. Relying on friends or family members is also helpful. However, you may not want to overwhelm them with problems. The most intelligent solution is seeking professional help.
