I’m delighted to see that you have taken a step towards investing in You! I will challenge you to think outside of the box. My priorities in therapy are helping clients build awareness around negative thoughts and finding the drive to build skills needed to support change. I pride myself on being empathetic, authentic, and open. I will consider your life experiences, cultural background, and values to meet you where you are. My goal is to create the most positive therapeutic relationship and open atmosphere. I am an Army Veteran, and I have a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I am also a certified transformation and life coach that empowers individuals to make and sustain positive life changes. I help individuals who are struggling with different aspects of their lives. As a clinician, I work with individuals who are seeking mental health care for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, individuals who may have a lack of motivation, needing guidance towards self-care, and ways to become a better person in general. The motivation to begin a private practice came from years of working with many different individuals in mental health and realizing that there is not a ‘one fits all’ scenario to helping people. I wanted to reach more people in a more authentic manner.

I am a licensed clinical social worker who have been practicing for over 12 years. My passion is working with adults and guiding them in overcoming trauma and healing wounded child parts. This passion is due to my own healing journey as a child who was touched inappropriately, exposed to domestic violence in a military household where my father abused drugs, and later experienced the death of my then 3-year-old son . Through my own healing journey, I learned how to "manage" my symptoms after receiving CBT therapy and grief counseling but had never healed from my trauma or knew about a wounded child part until receiving my own EMDR counseling. Before healing, I experienced symptoms consisting of low self-esteem, mood instability, not feeling safe, trust issues, and the need to control everything which negatively impacted my relationships with others. The journey was difficult but successful, thanks to EMDR. Thankfully, your journey doesn't have to be difficult. EMDR and Brainspotting are two highly effective modalities in treating trauma by helping to heal wounded parts through the brain's own healing process. If you're tired of feeling that you're always being judged, feeling stuck and unable to move forward because “something” is holding you back, experiencing trust or relationship issues, not feeling as if you're good enough, or if you're waking up sad, angry, irritable, or depressed and not understanding why, you may have a wounded part that's ready to heal. If so, I would be honored for the opportunity to help the wounded part within you to recognize that they're safe, they can trust, and that they're good enough.

I was a Supervisor at a non-profit for a case management team for over 7 years. This is where I have extensive experience in working with individuals with anxiety, low self-esteem, poor boundaries and difficulties forming relationships. I was one of the main presenters for Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and used these methods and techniques in my everyday work and practice. I am an Approved LCPC Supervisor in Maryland. I have provided a number of Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors (LGPC) with the supervision hours they needed to fulfill their requirements to obtain their LCPC. I have special training in Perinatal Mood Disorders and Mental Health. This training is a focus on the well-being of mothers as a whole, while also paying specific attention to her mental health as she moves along the journey of motherhood from conception to the Fourth Trimester. I feel this group of both fathers and mothers are one of the most overlooked and under-supported group, during a time in their lives when they REALLY need it. Much attention is given to the mothers during pregnancy and during the times before giving birth, but a lot of that support and attention disappears and shifts to the baby once delivery happens.

Hi, I'm Lindsay. I am here to help you on your healing journey. I believe that each and every person holds all of the wisdom they need to overcome life’s traumas directly within themselves. My job as a therapist is to help shine a light on your own inner wisdom, and guide you through the healing process in a safe, nonjudgmental space. I am passionate about helping my clients navigate their journey to their most authentic, free, and true selves. I believe that when we have the tools to attune ourselves to our mind, body and spirit we come home to ourselves. And when we are at home within ourselves, we are free. Whether you are seeking to recover from narcissistic abuse, intimate partner violence, or family or childhood trauma, or you are struggling with a difficult life transition or depression, or anxiety. I will meet you exactly where you are. I believe that each individual is the expert on their own lives. My sole purpose as your therapist is to guide you with compassion and care to help you unlock your innate inner wisdom and equip you with the tools you need to overcome the trauma of your past. I am Ketty - licensed clinical therapist. Also a Black female and first generation American of Caribbean descent - if you know, you know. And I am here for all your stories because they deserve to be heard, and you deserve to be seen. In the last few years, I have had the opportunity to practice in diverse settings and at various levels of care, and I have found myself the most at home and energized supporting clients on their journey to self-discovery. I have had first hand experience with the challenges and added barriers that one may encounter simply existing as a person of color: at work, at school, and at home. From the generations of unresolved trauma, to the attachment ruptures and dysfunctional family dynamics to the endless systemic challenges, there needs to be a safe space for healing.  This is why this work is important: to break the harmful cycles, to make sure your pain is no longer overlooked or ignored simply because "you are strong".  Glow Up came to be from a passion of mine to educate, heal and empower others to embrace their whole life story. An opportunity to refine the values and boundaries that allow you to experience the beauty of relationships on your terms, and reconcile the painful experiences and devastating memories into intentional, purposeful and "whole" living.  Using a trauma-informed approach as well as attachment based and emotion focused interventions, we work together to identify your needs and your goals, and develop a personalized treatment plan that works for you. I am committed to providing you with the space to heal and thrive, to make use of humor and compassion, and to remain authentic and present every step of the way.
