I am a passionate Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of both Georgia and Maryland. I have been licensed as a Professional School Counselor in the State of Georgia for the past 20+ years. I am a newly licensed provider in the State of Maryland. I enjoy working with a wide range of educational, personal, and professional issues providing services that span across a wide spectrum.
My method of therapy is eclectic, because I do not believe there is a one size fits all approach to therapy. I believe in focusing on a personal approach that works best for each of my client’s personality and presenting issue. I meet each client right where they are to assist them in achieving growth, change, and joy in their lives and relationships.
As a therapist my strengths come from 20+ years of experience in the counseling arena. I am an empathetic listener, I hold each client in unconditional regard, and I am respectful of everyone’s individual process.
As a therapist, I seek to provide the kind of mental health services that I would want available for my family member and even myself. I have extensive experience working with adults, children and teens struggling with anxiety, depression, educational issues, identity exploration ,PTSD & Trauma, racial & oppression-based traumatic stress, and relationship concerns.
My treatment can be best described as eclectic. No two sessions will ever be the same because they are tailored to fit the exact needs of my clients. I believe in meeting my clients where they are; therefore, a variety of disciplines may be utilized in each session.
