Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counsellor (LCPC) based in Maryland. I received my Masters from Johns Hopkins University and have over 10 years of combined experience working in mental health. Over the years, I have worked with clients to achieve their goals of becoming the best versions of themselves, using an Eclectic model tailored to client's specific needs. I believe therapy is not a one size fits all approach, so i ensure that each client is treated with respect and empathy and their confidentiality and privacy are respected by creating a safe space for clients.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, to help ease into therapy, review informed consent and confidentiality, go over no show and cancellation policy, establish rapport and dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Having worked with a wide range of clients, i have developed the ability to effectivey ease clients into therapy by creating a safe space, where every client feels heardd and recieves treatment tailored to their specific needs, using an Eclectic treatment model. I utilize homework to help clients (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) become more aware of their thoughts and how they impact wellness, help clients identify their strengths by become self aware and learn to advocate for self, challenge negative thoughts, problem solve, gain insight and create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress. My capability of creating a safe and transparent space for clients has allowed me to achieve specialization in working with clients who are struggling to cope with Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, low self esteem, parenting skills, communication skills, and self care.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of “talk therapy” that focuses on developing healthier ways of managing your thoughts, emotions, and behavior. I utilize CBT is to increase awareness of negative thinking and unhelpful behaviors so you can respond to challenges in a more productive way.
Compassion Focused
My goal is to treat every client with respect and compassion and educate client on the importance of SELF-COMPASSION.
Eclectic
Because therapy is not a one size fits all experience, I utilize an Eclectic lens to provide the services needed by each individual client and work together to create treatment plans tailored to meet individual needs.
Feminist
I utilize Feminist therapy as an integrative approach to psychotherapy to focuses on the challenges that women face as a result of bias, stereotyping, oppression, discrimination, and other factors, and how those stressors can negatively affect their mental health.
