Life happens. In the most challenging moments, it helps to have a therapist who is prepared to help you navigate life's challenges with a holistic perspective. I have years of experience helping clients navigate difficult individual, nd couple pressures associated with communication, anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal conflict and grief. At its best, therapy explores the influence of one's mind (thoughts and emotions), body (physical responses) and spirit (sense of meaning and purpose). My approach to therapy is oriented toward the whole self. I journey with clients to discover healthier paths and meaningful life change. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Georgia. I received dual masters degrees from Mercer University, a doctorate from Emory University and have been practicing for 16 years. I help adults struggling with life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and personal growth to find a better way forward.

I help individuals manage anxiety, depression and burnout. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. We'll use a whole self approach; addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate the different challenges they face and build coping skills to create more fulfilling and holistic life experiences. From my journey, I can personally attest to the power of support, in its many forms. This support goes beyond clients I service but also to their families and communities. I believe that mental wellness isn’t just individualistic; but includes the ecosystem surrounding the person. My praxis acknowledges and aims to support the village needed by all.  I’m also passionate about the transformative impact of safe and brave spaces for those who often experience exclusion. My career has afforded me opportunities to build trust with LGBTQ+, Black, Indigenous, Latina/o/x, and Refugee communities across the nation. It is a personal privilege to center wellness and holistic care for all as ‘self-care is a radical form of resistance.’ Whether you're dealing with overwhelm, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, trauma, PTSD, self-acceptance, I'm here to help. Hi! I am an energetic, compassionate Mindfulness Licensed Professional Counselor serving clients in both GA & SC. I have experience working with individuals in outpatient, inpatient, and virtual mental health and addiction settings. I also have experience working in community mental health in which I served individuals who have persistent and severe mental illness such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Gender Dysphoria, etc. I have more than 14 years of experience in the counseling arena. I've had the opportunity to work with individuals from all walks of life who are aiming to either "make a change" or "be the change". I incorporate a client centered approach, which enables me to build the necessary rapport to make the therapeutic process less intimidating for clients to define and work towards achieving identified goals. My approach is mainly Somatic and Mindfulness, but I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic, Holistic, Psycho-dynamic and Acceptance Therapy. My compassion and empathetic demeanor encourages the client to discuss their deepest emotions and experiences. My self-less attitude allows me to meet the client “where they are”, providing a safe space, free from judgment, while providing respect, transparency, genuineness, warmth and engagement. I believe in the importance of addressing the whole person, mind, body and spirit. I believe that individuals in general are doing the best they can and with the intentional practice of mindfulness, and taking life one moment at a time, we can all learn how to manage stress, while learning and utilizing better coping skills to help with serious illness, anxiety, depression and other mental health and addiction concerns. Always remember, small progress is still progress! I look forward to meeting you and working with you as we tackle this thing called life together!

Hello and welcome! I'm Sierra. I'm a queer, anti-racist Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Atlanta, Georgia. I started my career as a therapist at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and if there is one thing I learned from that time it's that, more often than not, it's not you- it's the system. Since then I have been helping fellow women and members of the LGBTQ+ community rebuild self-esteem, manage anxiety, and heal unresolved trauma. I also help families of LGBTQ+ youth gain understanding about their child's experience and empower them to provide the best support they can. We all have certain narratives we tell ourselves about ourselves, some helpful some not, and some of those stories aren't even ours. My goal is to help clients identify the unhelpful stories, where they came from, and help them create a new story. I like to incorporate both CBT/DBT coping skills and Jungian concepts such as inner child work to ensure a holistic healing approach for my clients. Whatever your healing journey looks like, I would consider it an honor and a privilege to walk it with you.
