Rachel Freiberg is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about helping adolescent girls and adult women navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and self-compassion. Born and raised in Parkland, Florida, Rachel earned her bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Central Florida before completing her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University. She later pursued specialized training to become a Registered Play Therapist through the Association for Play Therapy, giving her a strong foundation in child development and family dynamics. Throughout her career, Rachel has gained diverse clinical experience in schools, community mental health, substance use treatment, and correctional settings. She has worked with individuals, families, and groups and developed extensive experience supporting children and adolescents who have experienced trauma and other emotional challenges. While this work shaped her clinical foundation, Rachel's practice has naturally evolved over the years. Today, Rachel specializes in working primarily with adolescent girls and adult women. She enjoys helping clients navigate anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem, perfectionism, stress, and the many demands that come with balancing careers, relationships, family, and personal growth. Rachel's approach is warm, collaborative, and personalized. She believes meaningful therapy begins with a genuine connection and strives to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to create lasting change.Rachel designs her treatment plans with a tailored approach to meet the unique needs of each of her clients. Fundamentally, this is based upon creating a strong therapeutic bond by cultivating a safe, judgement free environment. Commonly employed therapeutic modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, and play therapy (for children). Allow Rachel to help guide you in making the positive change you wish to see in your life.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We'll spend time discussing what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll also ask questions about your personal history, relationships, and other areas of your life to better understand your unique experiences. There's no pressure to share everything all at once. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and understood. By the end of our first session, we'll begin identifying goals for therapy and discuss how we can work together to help you make meaningful, lasting progress. I want you to leave feeling that you have a clearer understanding of the process, a sense of hope, and confidence that you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone.
I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important factors in creating meaningful change. My goal is to provide a space where you feel comfortable being yourself—where you don't have to worry about being judged or having everything figured out before you walk through the door. Clients often describe my approach as warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I strive to balance compassion with honesty, offering both emotional support and practical tools that can be applied in everyday life. Rather than simply listening, I actively work alongside my clients to help them gain insight, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier ways of coping with life's challenges. Because no two people are the same, I tailor therapy to each individual's unique goals, experiences, and personality. Whether you're navigating anxiety, a major life transition, relationship concerns, self-esteem struggles, or simply feeling stuck, my hope is that you'll leave each session feeling heard, understood, and equipped with strategies that help you move forward with greater confidence.

I regularly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reframe negative thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationship challenges. In our sessions, we explore how your thoughts influence your emotions and behaviors, and I guide you in developing healthier coping strategies. CBT is goal-oriented and collaborative, which means we work together to build tools you can use in everyday life for lasting change.

Rachel has been a huge driver in my personal growth over these past couple of years that I have had the privilege of meeting with her. She is always warm and authentic as we work through the tough moments of adulthood but has been key in helping me identify patterns and cycles that have been deeply rooted from my past that I can take control of today. I am very grateful for her and the impact she has made.
