What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Chenda has extensive experience working with those who suffer from trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship dissatisfaction, phase of life issues, life crises, acculturation stress, and racial diversity issues.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

An attachment-based approach to therapy looks at the connection between an infant's early attachment experiences with primary caregivers, usually with parents, and the infant's ability to develop normally and ultimately form healthy emotional and physical relationships as an adult.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

To manage mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety, and emotional concerns, such as coping with grief or stress.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

It is highly effective and practical approach for treating conditions such as borderline personality disorder, PTSD, anxiety, depression, suicidal behaviors, and non-suicidal self-injury.

Structural Family Therapy

I work from a structural approach, meaning that the whole system of the child's life matters to me; through play and parental support, a child can learn and practice healthier ways to live and make choices in their different life domains.
