Hey there, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I am nationally certified to provide Trauma therapy. I love working with teens and adults, and I specialize in working with those who are in various stages of grief. I am also experienced in working with people with eating disorders and general therapy. Congratulations on taking the first step toward healing!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we'll get to know each other, and you'll provide some background on your life. We'll discuss what led you to therapy, what your thoughts on therapy are, and what your current needs are. We'll then work together to determine what you want your goals to be while in therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As one who has worked with people dealing with trauma, grief, and depression, I'm not afraid to address the hard things. I come into each session with empathy and curiosity, as well as humor. No matter what you're feeling or thinking, my goal is to provide a safe space for you to express what is on your mind. Working as a therapist geared toward adolescents, my approach is laid back and person-centered. Everyone is different, and I will walk with you on this journey to find what helps you effectively cope with life. I can't wait to work with you!

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My clients WANT therapy and are ready to put in the work. They are solution-focused and want to get to the root of the issue. I love working with spirited people who are talkative and eager to make the most out of their time with me. They are excited to come to therapy and see the value in working together!

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

I am nationally certified to work with individuals who have encountered different types of trauma. This process involves learning coping skills, learning how to regulate your emotions, identifying what triggers you, and telling your story. This targeted treatment method is 8-12 sessions.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The goal of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is to help change your mindset for the better. It is a type of talk therapy that can be used for an array of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, impulsiveness, and phobias. CBT helps you gain perspective and insight on whatever you may be going through.

Faith based therapy

Having faith while going through a difficult or stressful time can be extremely positive, and is often a part of peoples day to day life. Regardless of your faith, my goal is to help you process the impact it has on your mental health.

Grief Therapy

I use grief therapy to help people process grief and loss of any kind (death, tangible, ambiguous, anticipatory) in order to promote healing and closure.

Narrative

You are the expert of your life, and I want to hear your story. Only you can tell me what you've experienced and the feelings associated with it. Through narrative therapy, I am able to see the bigger picture, and learn about you as a whole.
