Hi, I'm Jacob, and I'm excited to help you along your mental health journey! Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with a rich tapestry of individuals—college students, young adults, couples and families, people in a mid-career transition, those battling addiction, and immigrants seeking support. I am deeply committed to providing a safe haven for people of all ages within the LGBTQIA+ and polyamorous communities. My career in therapeutic practice has taken me through diverse settings and I've been fortunate to study and train in several countries, receiving my Masters in Social Work in the US and a Psychology degree in Spain. ~ Hablo español, Je parle français, Я говорю по-русски ~
My clients often tell me that they leave sessions feeling relieved and with a better understanding of themselves. In our sessions, I advocate for collaboration, where your strengths take center stage. My goal is to empower you to achieve not just relief, but a path to a happier, healthier life. My belief in the transformative power of therapy fuels my dedication to your growth and potential.
What fuels my passion is helping individuals uncover their purpose, foster meaningful relationships, and navigate the profound changes life brings. My specialization lies in supporting those wrestling with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship conflicts, as well as those exploring their gender and sexuality identities at any stage of their journey. My approach is rooted in warmth and a judgment-free space, allowing clients to explore their identity and express themselves authentically. I integrate mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic approaches. Having lived and worked in diverse cultures, I strive to create a sensitive environment for individuals from all backgrounds.
I love working with people in the LGBTQIA+ community, immigrants and children of immigrants, couples in any stage of their relationship, people navigating polyamory, and people in recovery or dealing with substance or process addictions.
