I am a state of Florida licensed psychologist and occupational therapist with experience in helping individuals through challenging life changes. Whether you are recovering from an illness or injury that has impacted your life, going through a difficult relationship, or other life issues that have you feeling inadequate or unfulfilled, I will work with you to regain some control over your concerns.
The first session is for us to get acquainted. Therapy is a highly intimate relationship - we get to examine if I am a good fit for your needs, and I get to know about your needs and goals.
Using cognitive behavioral, solution-focused approaches, and other approaches as needed, I will collaborate with you and provide a calm and nurturing space to explore and gain awareness of what keeps you “stuck” while tapping into your inner strengths to make desired changes.
My practice has evolved to focus on transition and lifestyle issues of adults associated with various life conditions. Focus areas and conditions include adults diagnosed later in life with Autism and ADHD, individual adjusting to a new and chronic illness or disability, with a focus on optimizing your quality of life.
I am best poised to serve adults and older adults who are adjusting to a new chronic illness or disability, caregivers struggling with balancing their needs and those of their loved ones, young adults transitioning into adult roles such as parenting, relationship, or employment positions, and anyone who has been diagnosed with a disorder that may not be acknowledged or taken seriously by others.
