Hi, I’m Stephanie Bennett, a licensed professional counselor with 10 years of experience providing telehealth services throughout PA. I come from the place of believing that healing isn’t about “fixing” yourself, but rather about finding your way back to the parts of you that may have been lost along the way. I bring a personable, down-to-earth style to therapy where you can feel comfortable being fully yourself. I will help you make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and patterns so life feels less heavy and more manageable. Together, we’ll explore what’s been getting in the way and find new ways to help you feel more at peace, more confident, and more connected to yourself and the people around you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is simply about getting to know you and what’s been on your mind. I’ll ask some gentle questions to learn about your experiences, but there’s no pressure to share everything at once- we will go at a pace that feels comfortable. We’ll talk about what’s been hard lately, what you’d like to be different, and what you hope to get out of therapy. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling heard, understood, and like you’ve taken the first real step toward the change you’ve been looking for.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often share that my greatest strengths are my warmth, insight, and ability to “connect the dots”—helping them understand why they may know something logically, yet feel something entirely different emotionally. My approach is collaborative, non-judgmental, and always tailored to what feels most natural and supportive for you. Together, we’ll work to ease emotional suffering, cultivate self-compassion, and create more authentic, fulfilling relationships—with others and, most importantly, with yourself.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

You might be feeling worn down from always being “the strong one,” giving so much to others that there’s little left for yourself. Maybe you’ve been overthinking, questioning your worth, or feeling like you’ve lost touch with who you really are. Sometimes the past still lingers in ways you can’t quite explain, and you just know something needs to change. My ideal clients are ready to understand themselves more deeply and start living in a way that feels true to who they are. They want to feel more grounded, more self-assured, and more connected and they’re open to exploring what’s been holding them back so they can create lasting change.

Stephanie is my third therapist in seven years and she has been the most impactful in terms of setting proactive goals for my mental health. Her warm and comforting spirit feels so welcoming during sessions and she makes me feel so understood. She is able to point out why certain feelings come up and back this up with evidence, while still making the conversation feel personal. She never makes me feel judged or alone in my feelings. I’m so thankful to have found a therapist like her!

I loved my first session with Stephanie; I felt like she understood my situation when I can't even do that in my own head, and she was also a very good listener and feedback provider and I'm excited to continue working with her to help me figure myself out.

After my first session with Stephanie I felt so validated and seen. It has been a struggled to find a new therapist who I click with after spending years with my previous one. I look forward to future sessions.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

At the heart of my approach is a warm, non-judgmental space where you can be fully yourself. We work together at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you. This approach builds trust, helps you feel truly heard, and gives us a strong foundation for meaningful change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is about learning new ways to relate to your thoughts and feelings so they have less power over you. Instead of trying to get rid of difficult emotions, we focus on making space for them while still moving toward the life you want to live. I’ll help you explore your values, build coping tools, and take small steps that lead to big shifts over time.

Experiential Therapy

Sometimes the most powerful changes happen when we go beyond just talking about a problem and begin to explore it in a more active, experiential way. This approach invites you to connect with your thoughts, feelings, and physical responses in the moment, which can help uncover new insights and shift old patterns. By engaging with all parts of yourself, we can create space for deeper understanding, release what’s been weighing you down, and discover new ways of responding that feel more aligned with who you want to be present day and moving forward. Examples of these types of modalities are EMDR and IFS (internal family systems)
