Hi! I’m Stephanie Bennett, a licensed mental health therapist with over a decade of experience helping individuals navigate life’s emotional challenges. I specialize in working with clients who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in patterns of depression, impacted by past or present trauma, or disconnected in their relationships due to attachment-related issues. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. Together, we’ll create a safe and supportive space where you can feel seen, understood, and empowered to heal at your own pace and move toward meaningful, lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll explore what’s bringing you to therapy and identify the areas of your life that feel the most challenging right now. We’ll begin gently uncovering the emotional patterns beneath the surface, while also taking time to clarify your goals and what “feeling better” looks like for you. Just as importantly, we’ll begin building a foundation of trust and connection, as I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for meaningful, lasting growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often share that my greatest strengths are my warmth, insight, and ability to “connect the dots”—helping them understand why they may know something logically, yet feel something entirely different emotionally. My approach is collaborative, non-judgmental, and always tailored to what feels most natural and supportive for you. Together, we’ll work to ease emotional suffering, cultivate self-compassion, and create more authentic, fulfilling relationships—with others and, most importantly, with yourself.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m passionate about supporting adults and adolescents who are emotionally insightful but often feel weighed down by self-doubt, people-pleasing, or difficulty setting boundaries. If you find yourself overthinking, feeling like you’re “too much” or “not enough,” or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you—you’re not alone, and you’re in the right place. Together, we’ll work toward building self-trust, healthy boundaries, and a deeper connection to your authentic self.

My treatment methods

Experiential Therapy

I incorporate experiential therapy to help clients go beyond talking and truly connect with their emotions in the moment. This might involve somatic awareness or expressive techniques that allow you to safely explore and process deeper feelings. It’s a powerful way to access insight, release stuck emotions, and foster lasting change from the inside out.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you build a healthier relationship with your thoughts and feelings by teaching you how to accept what’s out of your control and commit to actions that align with your values. Instead of fighting difficult emotions, ACT helps you make space for them while focusing on what truly matters to you.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps people process and heal from distressing experiences or trauma. It uses bilateral stimulation—like eye movements or tapping—to help the brain reprocess painful memories so they feel less overwhelming. EMDR can create powerful shifts in how you think, feel, and relate to past events, helping you feel more grounded in the present.
