I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in both MA and NH with many years of experience in the field of mental health and addiction treatment. I have built my career on helping others get well, which looks different for everyone. If you are looking for a safe place to find support, stability, and clarity, I'm here to help. While I specialize in substance use and addiction treatment, my experience includes years of treating co-occurring disorders including but not limited to: eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. I also often help my clients navigate relationship stressors, family and interpersonal concerns, and more.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

As we begin working together, I take time to learn what is most important to the client and what they hope to achieve through therapy. Together, we explore current concerns, personal values, and desired outcomes to identify clear and meaningful treatment goals. This collaborative process helps ensure that therapy remains individualized, purposeful, and aligned with the client's needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I utilize a strengths-based approach that focuses on identifying and building upon each client's existing abilities, resilience, and personal resources. I believe that every individual possesses strengths that can be leveraged to overcome challenges and create meaningful change. Through empathy, compassion, and collaboration, I strive to create a supportive environment where clients feel understood, valued, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey. While therapy provides a space for support and validation, I also believe that growth often requires intentional action and self-reflection. When appropriate, I challenge clients to recognize patterns, confront barriers, and step outside of their comfort zones in pursuit of their goals. By balancing encouragement with accountability, I help clients build confidence in their abilities while developing practical strategies for lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Clients struggling with any types of addiction issues, emotional regulation issues, or couples looking to address their relationship dynamics, and looking for a strengths based approach to find skills to live a more fulfilling/ healthy life. Clients that are wanting to take an active role in making the connections needed to see where things may have gone wrong prior leading to their current situations and seeing how they can be an active part of changing their future

My treatment methods

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

A strengths-based REBT approach helps clients challenge limiting beliefs while cultivating self-acceptance, personal responsibility, and emotional flexibility. This method supports clients in navigating life's difficulties with greater confidence and psychological well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT techniques are offered to help clients increase self-awareness, tolerate distress without becoming overwhelmed, and respond to challenges more effectively. Through structured skill-building and supportive exploration, clients gain tools to create meaningful and lasting change.

Reality Therapy

Reality Therapy is used to help clients explore how their current choices and behaviors impact their ability to meet personal needs and achieve their goals. Sessions focus on increasing self-awareness, personal responsibility, and identifying practical steps toward meaningful change.

Couples Counseling

A collaborative couples counseling approach helps partners develop greater empathy, strengthen problem-solving skills, and address challenges in a constructive manner. Therapy provides tools for navigating life transitions, managing conflict, and fostering a deeper sense of partnership.

Narrative

Using a Narrative Therapy approach, clients are encouraged to view problems as separate from their identity rather than as defining characteristics. Sessions focus on uncovering personal strengths, resilience, and alternative stories that highlight growth, capability, and possibility.
