LCMHC, 10 years of experience
Hello, I'm Naneth Ruiz and I specialize in working with adults, youth, and families. For the past ten years, I've been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. In addition, I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona. I aim to promote a comforting and empowering space for clients as they navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal trauma, and self-care. My area of expertise is assisting clients in enhancing their quality of life through assertive communication and boundary-setting. You are NOT Alone!
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. I will be asking you throughout our session a range of questions to help me understand the underlying causes of the situation that brought you here to therapy today. Whether they stem from past experiences, thought patterns, or environmental factors. Through a collaboration, this in turn would also help me create a tailored plan that would help monitor your progress and contributions in what's working for you throughout our follow-up sessions.
My experience includes working with clients who have face anxiety, depression, and complex interpersonal traumas. I strongly believe in maintaining congruency with my clients. My top priority during therapy sessions is to establish a safe environment for my clients. My approach involves employing evidence-based tools like modeling, role-playing, H.W. and a range of activities to help clients establish an emotional connection. In my perspective, it is crucial to listen to the clients' story to aid their healing during therapy. I use a variety of theoretical orientations: Relational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, as well as Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behavior Therapy techniques when working with clients.
People often feel trapped, stressed, and anxious about their lives. My clients have a strong aspiration for self-improvement but currently lack the necessary tools to advance. Collaborative therapy and learning are crucial in building an emotional therapeutic bond and trust to empower my clients in confronting their fears.
