Hello and Welcome! First of all, I want to congratulate you on taking this important step toward healing. It takes courage to seek help, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. My name is Sarah, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. With years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of counseling settings, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals navigate a wide range of challenges. I specialize in areas such as trauma, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, self-esteem issues, and more. No matter what you're facing, I believe in the power of healing and personal growth. I truly care about my clients and am passionate about providing you with the support you need. I will meet you where you are, with warmth and understanding, and offer evidence-based techniques and personalized coping strategies to help you find balance and peace in your life. Whether you're navigating a difficult time or working through long-term challenges, I’m here to guide you with compassion, patience, and an open heart. I’d be honored to walk with you on your journey toward healing. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you feel ready to begin!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, my primary goal is to create a safe, comfortable space where you feel heard and understood. We’ll take things at your pace—there’s no rush. I’ll listen to your story, gently guiding the conversation in a way that feels natural for you. We’ll discuss what brought you to therapy and explore any concerns or goals you may have. Together, we’ll start to identify what you’re hoping to achieve in our work together, and I’ll share some of the tools and strategies I use to support you along the way. Above all, I want you to feel like this is a space where you can be yourself, ask questions, and share what’s on your mind. Healing and growth are a journey, and I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my greatest strength as a provider is my ability to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients feel truly heard and supported. I approach each person with genuine empathy, respecting their unique experiences and pacing our work together to meet their needs. My commitment to collaboration and understanding allows me to build strong, trusting relationships, and I’m passionate about offering personalized strategies that empower clients to navigate their challenges with confidence and resilience.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In my practice, I am deeply committed to providing a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. One of the primary methods I use is the Rogerian Person-Centered Therapy, a deeply compassionate and client-centered approach developed by Carl Rogers. In practice, this means I listen with a deep sense of empathy, acknowledging both your strengths and struggles without judgment. We’ll work together to uncover the deeper layers of your experiences, which can lead to greater self-awareness, growth, and healing. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply seeking to understand yourself more clearly, the Person-Centered approach is a gentle but powerful way to help you move forward!
