In my work, I take an eclectic approach to therapy, meaning I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to best suit your individual needs and goals. I believe that every person is unique, and there’s no “one-size-fits-all” solution in therapy. By blending elements of different approaches—such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, attachment theory and trauma informed practices-—I tailor each session to what will resonate most with you. This flexible approach allows us to address your challenges from multiple angles, ensuring that we’re working in the most effective and meaningful way possible. My goal is to empower you with the tools and insights that will foster lasting change, while also supporting you with compassion and understanding throughout the process. Please below more specific information about the modalities I most often draw from.
I integrate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my practice as a powerful tool for helping you recognize and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that may be contributing to emotional distress. CBT is based on the understanding that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected—by shifting negative or unhelpful thoughts, we can make positive changes in our emotions and actions. Together, we’ll identify any harmful thought patterns, explore their impact on your life, and develop healthier, more balanced ways of thinking. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or other challenges, CBT offers practical strategies to break the cycle of distress, improve problem-solving skills, and promote long-term emotional well-being.
In my practice, I incorporate attachment-based therapy, which emphasizes the important role that early relationships and bonding experiences play in shaping how we connect with others throughout our lives. Attachment patterns can impact how we navigate relationships, cope with stress, and manage our emotions. By exploring your unique attachment history, we can identify and understand any patterns that may be affecting your current relationships and overall well-being. Through this lens, I work with you to build a secure foundation, fostering healthier relationships and a deeper sense of self-awareness. My goal is to help you develop more positive, supportive connections and cultivate the emotional resilience needed to thrive in your personal and professional life.
I am deeply committed to providing trauma-informed therapy, recognizing that past experiences of trauma can have a profound impact on your emotional and psychological well-being. My approach is grounded in creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, respected, and in control of your healing journey. I am mindful of the ways trauma can show up in different areas of life, and I work collaboratively with you to move at a pace that feels right for you. By integrating trauma-sensitive practices, I focus on building trust, empowering you, and fostering resilience so that you can process your experiences and begin to heal at your own pace.
