Hello! I am a licensed and certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas. I have been practicing for 10 years, and I love what I do. I not only prescribe medications, but I also help my clients work on cognitive and behavioral changes to help reach their goals. I work very hard to provide an empathetic and compassionate space where you can speak openly, without a fear of judgment.
In our first session we will share brief introductions and then I will have you answer numerous questions about your symptoms, and history that will be used to help form a diagnosis and plan of care. I use a comprehensive treatment approach that combines medication management but also therapy techniques that are unique to your needs, history and goals.
Having worked the past 10+ years as a mental health provider, and prior to that working 10 + years as a nurse in the emergency department, I have a unique perspective and outlook on patient care. I have gained significant knowledge regarding the mind body approach to care with my experience, and I understand that your mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing are all interconnected and must all be addressed to be successful in achieving overall wellbeing and improved quality of life.

I have been using therapeutic approaches, as well as medication management for over 10 years in my practice. Learning to use Cognitive Behavioral therapy techniques, you can learn to be more aware of your thoughts, your feelings and your behaviors, and learn the skills to restructuring them for improved overall outcomes.
