I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado with 20 years of experience in the mental health field. My passion lies in helping clients become the best version of themselves by unlocking their potential and create meaningful change. I provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their challenges, discover their strengths, and build resilience. My approach is rooted in compassion and self-empowerment, encouraging clients to stay the course, embrace their growth, and never give up on themselves or the possibilities life holds.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we’ll take a little time to get to know each other and talk about what’s been weighing on you or holding you back. This conversation will help me understand your unique challenges and allow us to begin crafting a personalized plan to guide your journey moving forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I recognize that every person and situation is unique, which is why I take the time to understand what you’re looking for from therapy and tailor our work to meet your specific needs. While I’ve developed a proven approach to uncover the root causes of challenges and create a personalized plan, I believe therapy should be as individual as you are. Together, we’ll work toward meaningful, measurable progress that aligns with your goals and supports your journey toward growth and transformation.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I especially enjoy working with adults of all ages who are seeking to live a more conscious and fulfilling life. Many people, I’ve found, operate under unconscious, conditioned beliefs that shape behaviors and ways of being that are no longer helpful or rewarding. My passion is to work alongside individuals who are ready to uncover these patterns, challenge outdated, conditioned beliefs and create a more authentic, intentional way of showing up for themselves and their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT with clients for 20 years and have consistently witnessed its transformative impact. This approach helps individuals understand how their thoughts and self-talk influence their lives in profound ways. While CBT is not a quick fix, it serves as a foundational tool for fostering a healthier, more balanced way of living. It has the power to radically shift how clients perceive themselves and their overall outlook on life.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a therapeutic approach that addresses emotional and relational challenges an individual is experiencing. By focusing on how emotions influence cognition, behavior, and needs, EFT helps transform maladaptive patterns like emotional avoidance and fosters emotional awareness, regulation, and healthier relationships. It enables clients to recognize and bring unconscious patterns to light, allowing them to heal the false beliefs driving their behavior. This process empowers clients to reclaim their agency and intentionally shape how they show up in the world.

Existential

Existential therapy is a philosophical approach to psychotherapy that helps individuals explore fundamental questions about meaning, purpose, freedom, and mortality. It emphasizes self-reflection, personal responsibility, and living authentically by aligning actions with personal values. By confronting life’s uncertainties and challenges, it fosters resilience, reduces anxiety, and empowers clients to create meaning in their lives. This approach is especially helpful during times of transition, identity crises, or when seeking greater direction and purpose.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness therapy incorporates practices like focused attention and non-judgmental awareness of the present moment to address emotional, mental, and physical challenges. Rooted in mindfulness traditions, it helps reduce stress, anxiety, and rumination while enhancing emotional regulation, mental clarity, and self-acceptance. It’s also effective in managing physical pain and fostering a more balanced, fulfilling life. Most importantly, it creates the internal space to live life with more awareness vs living on auto-pilot.
