My path to becoming a therapist was motivated by several life experiences. I am a first-generation Hispanic American from a large family. I have a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University with which I pursued a career in healthcare. Upon working in an emergency medicine setting, I came to the conclusion that the level of empathy I felt would be better suited for another setting. I pursued my Master of Social Work to help fill the gaps I felt healthcare lacked. Nowadays, I work full-time as a school mental health therapist during the day, helping adolescents and young adults. My specialties include stress management, conflict resolution, depression, anxiety, and LGBTQIA+-affirming care. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends and being outdoors or exercising, practicing self-care!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I strive to make the environment as comfortable as possible. I state the limits of confidentiality and boundaries for therapy. Anything and everything you want to talk about in session is free game, this is your time to let it all out!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I feel my strength as provider is creating a nonjudgmental environment where you feel the most comfortable. I strive to identify unhelpful thinking patterns to help convert them into healthier ones. I help clients find the positive in every situation when it is often hard for them to see.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with teens and young adults who are going through life transitions. They often are experiencing the emotions they feel for the first and feel stuck in how to manage them. The ideal client is motivated for change and willing to put in the effort to improve their lives.
