I offer phone and video sessions through a secure portal for clients who are distancing or quarantined. My approach to therapy is client-centered. I will meet you where you are at and support you in achieving your goals. I have a lot of experience with trauma, anxiety, depression, survivors of domestic violence, autism, and borderline personality disorders. In our first session there will be time for me to introduce myself to you and talk about my methods. I will ask questions to get an understanding of what you would like to work on in our sessions together. I also welcome your questions for me, as you will be getting to know my style and how I operate.
My biggest strength is noticing patterns that may be occurring over time. I enjoy making these observations to my clients as it builds awareness for themselves and it can lead to a breakthrough for the client, helping to empower them to break out of cycles they may find themselves in.
I enjoy working with clients who are interested in exploring their family dynamics and understanding themselves in that context. I enjoy helping empower clients to recognize the agency they have, helping them to build assertiveness and begin setting boundaries.
I use CBT in combination with other modalities(DBT, IFS, psychodynamic, polyvagal, Eriksonian) that are customized to each client to achieve the best outcomes.
Have you been feeling overwhelmed by concerns about our everchanging world? I will be starting up an 8 week processing group to provide a safe, supportive environment to guide individuals struggling with anxiety and depression. This group will be a space to talk and process, will include guided meditation and calming strategies, as well as some resources provided outside of the group space.
