For more than 20 years, I've had the privilege of supporting children, teens, adults, and families through some of life's most difficult moments. My experience spans medical, mental health, and hospice settings, and each role has strengthened my belief that healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and supported. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), using a strengths-based, person-centered approach that recognizes each person's unique story, abilities, and potential. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where clients and families can build resilience, develop practical skills, and move forward with confidence. My approach is faith-informed, evidence-based, and rooted in compassion. Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, behavioral challenges, or life's unexpected transitions, I'm committed to walking alongside you every step of the way.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know one another in a comfortable, welcoming environment. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, your teen, or your family, we'll spend time talking about what brought you to counseling, the challenges you're facing, your strengths, and the goals you hope to achieve. I take a personalized, compassionate approach, meeting each child, adolescent, adult, and family where they are and creating a safe space where everyone feels heard, respected, and supported. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions, learn about the therapy process, and discuss what future sessions may look like. Together, we'll develop a plan that reflects your unique needs and helps you move toward healing, growth, and lasting well-being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and accepted. Whether I'm working with a child, teen, adult, or family, my goal is to create a calm, welcoming space where trust can grow and meaningful change can begin. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for healing, so I take time to truly listen, understand your unique story, and meet you where you are. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience, I combine evidence-based practices with genuine compassion, practical guidance, and a strengths-based approach that helps clients recognize their resilience and build on what is already within them. My sessions are collaborative, personalized, and paced to meet your individual needs, helping you feel supported, empowered, and equipped with tools that create lasting growth both inside and outside the therapy room.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I provide counseling for children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families who are navigating life's challenges and looking for support, healing, and hope. Whether you're seeking help for anxiety, depression, grief, behavioral concerns, life transitions, relationship challenges, or emotional overwhelm, you'll find a compassionate, judgment-free space where you can feel heard and supported. Every client brings a unique story, and I believe therapy should reflect that. I tailor each session to your individual needs, helping children build emotional skills, empowering teens to navigate life's complexities with confidence, supporting adults through personal growth and life's transitions, and partnering with parents and families to strengthen relationships and create lasting positive change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe, supported, and equipped with practical tools they can use in everyday life. That's why I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that helps children, adolescents, adults, and families understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we'll identify unhelpful patterns, develop healthier ways of thinking, and build skills to respond to life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life's challenges with greater flexibility, resilience, and self-compassion. Rather than trying to eliminate difficult thoughts or emotions, ACT teaches us how to respond to them in healthier ways—making room for life's struggles while staying connected to what matters most. Together, we'll explore the values that give your life meaning, develop practical mindfulness and coping skills, and learn how to move forward even when anxiety, sadness, grief, or uncertainty are present. My goal is to help you spend less time feeling stuck and more time living a life that reflects your values, strengths, and hopes for the future. Every session is personalized, collaborative, and focused on helping you create meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help children, adolescents, adults, and families develop the skills needed to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and emotional balance. DBT is an evidence-based approach that teaches practical strategies for managing overwhelming emotions, coping with stress, improving relationships, and responding thoughtfully rather than reacting impulsively. In our work together, you'll learn skills to increase emotional awareness, tolerate difficult moments, communicate more effectively, and build healthier patterns that support lasting well-being. I tailor these skills to each person's age, needs, and goals, creating a supportive and encouraging environment where growth feels both achievable and meaningful. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based, helping you build resilience while honoring your unique experiences and the progress you make along the way.
