In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is nothing to be nervous about. I will introduce myself to you and answer any questions you may have. We will discuss your symptoms and what you are needing help with. It is just an honest conversation between two people. I will go through the intake form with you, develop a treatment plan and make any needed referrals at the end. Think of the first session as similar to going to a new doctor. You are just filling out a history form, discussing issues you are having and what you are needing help with. The first session is NOT trauma counseling or meant to solve all issues within the time provided. Typically the intake session takes 45 minutes.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having been a clinician for over 20 years, I have worked with a wide range of clients from older adults to adolescents and children. I have worked in a wide variety of settings from community based work to hospital style settings to private practice. I can work in both states of Texas and Ohio and understand the different dynamics in each state.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am very comfortable with all ages of people from serving the elderly population and helping adults navigate the aging process to working with teenagers and young children. I have experience working with children and currently work for a non-profit helping families and children in the foster care program.
