First session
During our first session, I would like to know what your current concerns are and will gather history to help me better understand you and your individual needs. We would then discuss treatment options and formulate a plan moving forward.
Strengths
Your individual needs are carefully considered, and I welcome feedback so that your concerns are addressed. My approach is nonjudgmental, open for collaboration, and I strive to meet you where you are at with your personal goals.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with adults and older adults with various backgrounds and life experiences. I am eager to serve clients who partake in their treatment plan and understand the importance of collaboration between the client and myself, which would involve coming up with solutions together and appointment adherence. Your care may involve additional providers such as counselors/therapists and primary care physicians depending on your needs.
Treatment methods
Supportive
While I primarily provide psychotropic medication management, I also provide supportive therapy for clients going through a difficult time or looking for coping skills to help with depression or anxiety symptoms. For ongoing talk therapy, I provide referrals for therapists that specialize in my client's needs.
Trauma-Informed Care
After spending years of caring for veterans, refugees, and other victims of trauma, I have gained experienced in understanding, diagnosing, and treating those with trauma or PTSD. Trauma-informed care is essential in my practice and prioritizing my client's comfort and considering their level of trust is carefully implemented.
