About me

Hi, I’m Tiffany and I’m so glad that you are here. Making the decision to start therapy can feel overwhelming and my goal is to help you feel as comfortable as possible while we explore potentially uncomfortable topics. I strive to create a warm, friendly, and collaborative environment where you will feel supported and understood. We will work together to better understand your unique circumstances, discover your strengths, and develop the tools to help navigate the stressors that come your way. I work with children, teens, and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and other stressors that negatively impact your mental health. I also enjoy working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community and helping people to feel empowered and develop resilience. Regardless of what life throws at you, you don’t have to face it alone. My hope is that you leave each session feeling supported, empowered, and a little closer to the life that you want to create for yourself.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can be a little intimidating, especially if it's your first time. My goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. During the first session, we'll spend some time getting to know each other, exploring what brought you to therapy, and discussing what you're hoping to get out of this experience. There is no pressure to have everything figured out and we'll move at a pace that feels more comfortable for you. We can have the first session mostly focused on getting to know one another or if you prefer to get right into your goals for therapy, that's good too! My priority is to create a space where you feel comfortable and supported.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to therapy is to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where you can feel comfortable to share anything that is on your mind. I believe that the strongest foundation to therapy is having a trusting relationship, and I always make it a priority to create a space where you can feel that you can be your true, authentic self. In my work with children and teens, I also bring creativity and flexibility to sessions to help them to feel comfortable with engaging in therapy in a way that can feel meaningful to them.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client would be someone who is open to exploring themselves and is ready to take the first step into working on feeling better. They don't have to know exactly what they want to focus on or what their goals are for treatment just yet, but have an openness to explore. I enjoy working with many different concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or life transitions, but I find that wanting to be in therapy to address concerns is more important that the concern itself.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize patterns in their thoughts and behaviors and how they might contribute to stress or emotional distress. In these sessions, we will identify these thoughts and patterns, and develop tools to challenge these patterns, and build healthier coping strategies.

Trauma Informed Care

Being trauma-informed means I recognize that past experiences can have a lasting impact on how we think, feel, and respond to the world around us. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, validated, and in control of your healing. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and you'll never be pressured to talk about experiences before you're ready.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients better understand and manage intense emotions without feeling controlled by them. In these sessions, we would focus on building skills to navigate difficult situations and respond to life's challenges in ways that align with your values and goals. DBT focuses on creating lasting change while also practicing self-acceptance and compassion towards yourself.

Grief Therapy

Grief looks different for everyone, and there is no "right" way to heal. Whether you've experienced the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a job, or another significant life change, grief therapy provides a safe space to process your emotions, honor your experience, and find ways to move forward while carrying your loss with you.
