Hi! I am Karina, a licensed therapist who has also been a high school teacher for 15 years. I have been licensed since 2019, and look forward in joining you in your journey. I am here to help you feel empowered, and to guide you through your process of discovery. Life is full of doubts and questions. I am very passionate about everything that I do, and my goal as a therapist is to help in every way that I can. I believe that establishing rapport is key when establishing a connection with a client, and I will do my best to make every session comfortable and productive for you. I am here to help assist manage anxiety, depression, and any other situation that may need focusing on. I have had experience in treating children, adolescents, LGBTQ+ Community, and Group and Marriage (Couples) Counseling. I appreciate you taking the time in considering me to assist. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will be about getting to know each other and to ensure that we go over the informed consent. Questions/doubts can be asked at any time throughout your therapeutic experience. I strive to guide you through the process of overcoming, making important decisions, and talking about perspectives of life.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use various assessments to help in diagnosing or identifying mental disorders. I also use Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, among others.
