Do you battle anxious thoughts or time-consuming rituals daily? Do you find yourself engaging in avoidance behaviors or seeking reassurance from others? As a therapist, I am passionate about helping my clients on their journey to positive change and can assist them in overcoming panic attacks, anxiety, OCD, and/or phobias. Asking for help dealing with these issues can be scary. I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental space to share your struggles and explore healthier coping skills together. If you've sought treatment in the past without success, don't give up! Let me tell you how I can help you overcome your fears and get back to living the life you deserve.
In our first session, we will discuss what brought you to therapy, your history with counseling/mental health, treatment goals, and your expectations of therapy. I will also answer any questions you have about therapy or treatment. From there, we will develop a treatment plan to address the issues that you would like to focus on. Sessions from then will be focused on working towards treatment goals and utilizing your chosen modality (I-CBT or ERP) in session.
I use evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and I-CBT (Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).
My biggest strengths as a counselor are openness, flexibility, and authenticity. I have lived experience with OCD, so I know firsthand how debilitating it can be. This gives me a unique understanding and ability to empathize with clients struggling with similar problems. I pride myself on being collaborative with clients to make sure we build a treatment plan that is most helpful to them as an individual - no cookie-cutter treatment here.
