Hi! I am a Latina Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my Masters from the University of Southern California and have been practicing for about 4 years. I enjoy helping young adults process and work through the changes that occur through their lifespan while ensuring they meet their overall personal wellness goals.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, discuss what are your personal goals in therapy, and explore the specific challenges impacting your mental health. This will assist us in creating a tailored plan as we work together to meet your personal treatment goals.
Throughout the last 4 years working with young adults, I've developed the skills to support my clients work through life's challenges by helping clients identify the root cause of their problems and creating goals that lead to improvements in their wellness.
I am fond of working with young adults that are working through the many day to day challenges that can arise as they transition into adulthood. My clients are often interested in processing childhood traumas, eager to improve their relationships, and overall learn to manage feelings of anxiousness or sadness. Often times, my clients are seeking to gain a better understanding of themselves, their worlds, and gain tools to support them navigate any challenges that may arise in their lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice I have incorporated CBT strategies to help client's reduce thoughts and behaviors that increase symptoms. I like to educate and practice CBT coping skills (thought stopping, recognizing emotions and impact on their behaviors, etc) to increase client's self efficacy and ability to manage emotions during stressful events.
