Hi, I am Amy, I am a dedicated and compassionate mental health therapist supporting individuals, families and couples on their journey toward healing and meaningful change.
They feel that someone finally gets what they are going through and have been given the tools and strategies to really make a difference in their lives .
I work collaboratively with clients to explore and better understand the underlying causes of their challenges, helping create insight and lasting growth. My approach is grounded in client-centered care, with a specialized focus on trauma healing and recovery. I understand how deeply trauma can shape our lives, relationships , and sense of self. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet your unique needs, helping you identify the root of your challenges and equipping you with practical skills and strategies to create change. Therapy can bring up a lot of different thoughts and emotions. I am here to offer you compassion and validation throughout the therapeutic process to help ease any stress you may be feeling. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. I am here to help you on this journey and look forward to working with you!
First session
In our first session we will spend time getting to know each other. I will ask some questions about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain while working together. I will go at your pace.There is no pressure to share everything right away. We will also work on identifying some goals.This will be a collaborative process and a space for you to feel safe, heard and supported.
Strengths

They like the balance of our sessions in being able talk and share and then being empowered and challenged. They like that I give them work to do as they know this is how change will happen.
