As a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health conditions, including bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and ADHD.
My practice focuses on supporting adolescents and adults, guiding them toward improved emotional well-being and a greater sense of balance in their lives. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to share their stories, explore challenges, and achieve meaningful progress in their mental health journeys.I integrate a holistic approach that considers the interplay of physical, emotional, and social factors in mental well-being. With advanced training in psychiatric assessment, psychotherapy, and medication management, I work collaboratively with my clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
First session
At the first session, we will start with knowing each other. I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story. We’ll discuss your current concerns, symptoms, and what brought you to seek care, and we go from there. We’ll talk about what you hope to achieve through treatment, this helps us focus on what matters most to you as we create a plan together. We’ll outline the steps for your care, including scheduling follow-up appointments, and additional assessments if needed.
Strengths
I believe my greatest strength lies in my ability to truly listen and create a safe, empathetic space for my clients. Mental health care requires not only clinical expertise but also a deep understanding of each individual’s unique story, struggles, and goals. I strive to build strong, collaborative relationships with my clients. I take the time to hear their concerns without judgment, validate their experiences, and empower them to take an active role in their care. This partnership fosters trust and allows me to develop personalized treatment plans that truly align with my client needs.
Ideal clients
The Clients I Serve I work with adolescents and adults navigating: Bipolar Disorder: Helping clients manage mood fluctuations, develop coping strategies, and stabilize their emotional health. Anxiety Disorders: Reducing excessive worry, panic, and stress through tailored therapeutic and medication approaches. Depression: Providing support to help clients rediscover motivation, purpose, and joy. PTSD and Trauma: Addressing past experiences to foster healing and reduce symptoms like flashbacks and hypervigilance. ADHD: Supporting clients in improving focus, organization, and daily functioning. Whether it’s a teen managing academic pressures or an adult balancing professional and personal challenges, I take a collaborative approach to treatment, tailoring plans to meet each individual’s unique needs.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is one of the most effective and evidence-based approaches I incorporate into my practice to help patients understand and manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.I worked with a patient struggling with anxiety that had begun to impact their daily life. Together, we identified the recurring negative thought patterns contributing to their feelings of worry and fear, such as catastrophic thinking and overgeneralization. Through CBT, we reframed these thoughts into more balanced and realistic perspectives, helping the patient reduce their anxiety's intensity. Understanding situations that cause distress. Challenging and replacing negative thought patterns with constructive ones.
