Hello! I am an LCSW [Licensed Clinical Social Worker] based in Tx. As a passionate counselor, I believe the beauty of life is that it gives an opportunity to review, reflect and reform our own stories so we can keep pushing through our adversities. No matter what age, race, creed or status, healing comes from the support of someone being able to help you take the very first step to recovery. My areas of competence include individual and group counseling with a special interest in youth and early adulthood.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will do a brief introduction, leading to discussing what has brought you to therapy. Many people see therapy as a one-sided conversation, with little opportunity to talk to each other as real people. I can promise you that I am as real as it gets! I want to help you achieve whatever solutions and life changes you are looking for while enjoying the process as much as possible and experiencing yourself in new ways.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Providing support for minority communities has been the primary focus of my professional training and education. My passion as a therapist is empowering underserved communities such as POC, women and minority groups. I strongly believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

Traumatic experiences change our perception and our ability to understand the world around us which is what makes it so important to be mindful of; throughout therapy.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Culturally sensitive approaches allow therapy sessions a variety of perspectives and experiences that can be explored and discussed.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT will guide sessions with a variety of grounding techniques and strategies that will allow you to better manage any symptoms as you experience them.
