My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

When using this method I often highlight thought patterns that lead to unhealthy behaviors or dysregulation. We then explore healthy coping skills and ways to reframe negative thoughts patterns and dysregulated behavior.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

When using this method I like to silence the noise inside your body and brain by bring focus to your 5 sense and environment around you. We often internalize emotions and feelings and this teaches to externalize and ground yourself with natural coping skills. Grounding, anchoring, self regulation are all tools to support your mental and emotional wellness.

Trauma-Focused CBT

When using this method I seek to explore situations and experiences that have deeply impacted the way you think, behavior or even see yourself. Trauma manifest in many ways that show up in parent/child relationship, romantic relationships, friendships and even at work. I often explore childhood experiences, attachment, past relationships, and any other experiences that can help inform treatment.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

When using this method I help clients identify areas of disconnect within themselves. Sometimes we look to outside influences to validate or for approval in our lives. We work on self validation, self awareness and self worth. This is done by actively validating identity, using inclusive language, and addressing minority stressors.
